00:05What do you think of when I say the word powder?
00:09I think of face powder, maybe powder foundation.
00:13I sure as hell don't think about powdered lipstick, but I have some today.
00:16I've been noticing a lot of brands come out with powdered versions of kind of unique products lately,
00:22so I decided to put them all to the test on my face and do a full face of powder
00:26makeup.
00:27So without further ado, let's get started.
00:29I have a very strange foundation to test.
00:31It is from J. Manuel Beauty and it is a powder to cream.
00:39It just like, you rub it in and it just turns into a cream.
00:46It's a very matte foundation, but it's actually a little bit tacky to the touch.
00:51I will say it doesn't blend a ton, so you do kind of have to stamp it on and blend
00:57in the area
00:57and then dip in for more.
00:59And I think it's done a really good job of evening me out, but I do wish it had more
01:03coverage.
01:03Alright, so concealer, I have a new product.
01:06This is from a brand called Pure and it actually comes with a little Pure spongy thing.
01:12The actual instructions are to apply the concealer onto the sponge itself and then tap it under your eyes.
01:17I'm going to try that and I'm also going to try it with a brush.
01:19I think it's a little difficult to build up coverage with the product like this.
01:23So I'm going to powder my face with this Pixi powder all over so that my bronzer and my blush
01:30and everything goes on smoothly and evenly.
01:33Alright, so moving right along to bronzer.
01:37I have this one from Lancome, never used before, but it is a loose powder bronzer that comes in a
01:43convenient little brush package.
01:45This bronzer looks pretty shimmery and a little bit on the orange side, so I don't think it's going to
01:49be a good contour bronzer.
01:51I'm going to try to actually bronze and warm up my skin.
01:54Ooh, I just got a burst of shimmer.
01:58I think the color of it is nice if you want like an actual warm bronzer.
02:03One that you can put on the high points of your face to mimic, you know, having been outside in
02:07the sun.
02:08I think that the component being in that little click-up package makes it really difficult to see how much
02:13product you're putting on your face.
02:15So I have this really cool product that I'm really excited to try. It's by Chanel.
02:20Ooh.
02:21There's a balm and a lip powder.
02:24There are a few ways you can use this, apparently. You can just use the balm straight from the pan.
02:30You can use the powder on top of the balm, but you can also use the actual powder as an
02:36eyeshadow or a blush.
02:37So in this case, I'm actually going to use it as a blush, but I'm putting it on anything that
02:40I need to do. It's fine.
02:42What was that?
02:44I actually quite like it. I think it has a very nice kind of matte finish.
02:48The coloring was really beautiful. It was kind of a pinky coral. I think it brightened up my face a
02:52lot.
02:52So I don't have, like, a weird highlighter today. It's just a highlighter that I've actually used before and I
02:57really love.
02:58It's by Dose of Colors. It is a baked highlighter. It has this beautiful marbling running through it, and I
03:03love the subtle glow it gives.
03:05So I'm just going to dip my highlighter brush into it and dust it onto my cheekbones.
03:10Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm.
03:11So I have very oily eyelids, so I'm going to use a new eyeshadow today that I've never used before,
03:16but I want to see how it holds up on its own and how it holds up with the eyelid
03:19primer.
03:19And my eyeshadow today is actually going to be from a brand called Tipsy.
03:22It's called Two Drink Minimum. How cute is that?
03:25So this is the lilac side, and it has a little bit of shadow on an actual sponge tip,
03:30so you don't even need to use brushes.
03:31And on the other side is another color, this nice bronze.
03:35So I'm going to start with this beautiful warm brown. Oh, it's so easy to use.
03:41I think applying it is really easy, but I think I'm still going to want to use a blending brush
03:46to blend it out.
03:53Do a little bit of the deeper shade on my lower lash line.
03:56If you want to dip back into this product and you want to wear quite a bit of eyeshadow,
04:00it's a little bit difficult. You have to keep dipping and it's springy,
04:03but it's just so convenient to have these little sponges. You don't have to bring extra brushes.
04:07Alright, so I'm going to move on to a little bit of liner. Just a little bit.
04:12And I have these L'Oreal Infallible Smokiss... Smok... Smokissimi?
04:21I have these Infallible Smokissim eyeliners from L'Oreal.
04:26I think what I'm going to go with is the brown shade today.
04:29Wow, these really stay on. I mean, look.
04:32It's a really easy diffuse line that you really don't need brushes for,
04:36but I'm going to use a brush just to diffuse it even further.
04:39So my mascara that I have is kind of an exciting one.
04:42I've never used it before. It's called the Besame Mascara Cake.
04:46And it comes in this little tin that you open up and it comes with a little brush
04:49and a dry mascara formula.
04:52It kind of looks like a piece of dark chocolate.
04:54It is kind of the same componentry and style as a lot of the mascaras that people use in the
05:011920s.
05:02I'll put a drop of water onto the actual cake and then rub this little brush in it
05:07and use that to apply my mascara.
05:09I think it's supposed to turn into like a little bit of a paste.
05:15I really like how this has defined my eyelashes.
05:18I don't think it's holding a curl.
05:21I'm going to get my bottom lashes. Wish me luck.
05:25This brush is great for getting bottom lashes, especially if you have no eyelashes like I do.
05:30It kind of is hard to work with.
05:32You kind of end up getting the mascara all over but I think that if you used a spoolie
05:37like just run to Sephora get a freeze like sample spoolie and use that instead.
05:40I think it'll be much easier.
05:42So I actually have a powder eyebrow product for you and they're kind of weird.
05:46It's from this brand called Blink Brow Bar.
05:48It's a powder eyebrow product that comes out with this little spongy applicator
05:54that you kind of put onto your eyebrows and fill them in with.
05:57It works.
05:58I think that it's a little bit messy.
05:59If you aren't careful you can get a little bit of fallout.
06:02I thought that was kind of a gimmicky product at first
06:04but I think I was able to get a good look out of it.
06:06Definitely have a spoolie though.
06:08So last but not least is lipstick and I'm very excited for this step
06:12because I have these Clay Cosmetics Melting Lip Powders
06:17and they are straight up powder.
06:20But I'm choosing between the shades Desert Rose and Hot Chaco.
06:25I'm going to actually swatch them so you can see.
06:30So I'm going to use this shade Desert Rose.
06:33Oh man, I got some of my pants.
06:37It looks like powder in the tube but it's going on like a liquid.
06:43Super powder matte finish.
06:45But I will say that this lipstick doesn't layer over itself nicely
06:49so it's kind of like do it in one go and don't try to lay it on top.
06:52I'm going to give myself a pat on the back for this look
06:54because some of these products were really hard to work with.
06:58Like the lip color, love the eye look.
07:01Do I think the powder is worth the mess?
07:04Short answer, no.
07:06Long answer, if you want something that's a little bit more unique,
07:10something that's a little fun to play with, totally go for it.
07:13I'm going to wear this for the rest of the day.
07:14I'm going to see how it wears and then at the end of the day
07:16I'll let you know my final thoughts.

07:21I've been wearing this makeup for quite a while now
07:22and I've got to say I'm pretty oily.
07:25But I'm quite surprised as to how natural the foundation looks.
07:32It didn't cover.
07:33I do think that even as I wore it, it started to wear even more.
07:38My eyes, primer side held up way better.
07:40Not too much smudging.
07:42I think the mascara smudged a little bit.
07:44I liked the way it came out, but the powder products themselves
07:48are so difficult to work with.
07:50They get everywhere.
07:51They got on my pants.
07:52Like as I was putting them on my face,
07:53I feel like I was breathing it in and coughing.
