00:02Welcome to another edition of Mi-Anne Tries One Brand for the whole week and tells you all about it.
00:10And Other Stories is a fashion brand actually owned by H&M that has beautiful clothing.
00:16But they actually have a very big beauty collection that I have always known about but never tried.
00:24So I decided to get a bunch of stuff, an entire full face of makeup and even some hair care
00:29stuff.
00:30And try it this week and we will get into it.
00:33First things first is foundation.
00:35So this is the And Other Stories cream foundation that I've been wearing this week.
00:39I wear the shade Tres-
00:40I wear the shade Tres Sand and I gotta say I was pretty surprised by this formula.
00:48I was expecting something called a cream foundation to be quite thick on the thicker side.
00:54The bottle itself kind of looks like Estee Lauder Double Wear.
00:56So in my mind, I was expecting fuller coverage.
01:00This is very, very sheer and very, very dewy.
01:05I definitely needed to powder over it, especially in the T-zone.
01:09But if you're into this like very glossy skin kind of finish, it's quite nice.
01:14Next up is my favorite product of the entire week.
01:19The And Other Stories powder blushes.
01:22They are so, so pretty.
01:26Not only do they come in like the most beautiful like punchy colors, but they are so pigmented on.
01:33You just need like the smallest little touch and it like will cover your whole cheek, give you a really
01:36fresh, healthy glow.
01:38This orange-y tangerine shade I actually wore all over the lid as an eyeshadow.
01:41This pink is also gorgeous as an eyeshadow too.
01:44Highly recommend.
01:45Next up is highlighter.
01:47And Other Stories has this luminizing powder that I use as my highlighter.
01:50It is a nice kind of champagne.
01:52This is the only shade I believe and it is very, very natural.
01:58I would say it kind of has like a candle lit kind of glow.
02:02Definitely doesn't have a lot of intense sparkle.
02:04You can see it for sure when you put it on your cheekbone, but it's not going to give you
02:08like a megawatt shine.
02:09I can pile it on really and it's not going to, it's not going to be too blinding.
02:13So I think it's a very good everyday one.
02:15Moving on to eyeshadow.
02:17So, And Other Stories is a few eyeshadows.
02:19This is the only quad that I got.
02:21This is the Tartan Club Eye Color Palette.
02:24These shadows feel very similar to the blushes.
02:27The powders are on the slick side, like when you touch it, you can definitely feel some
02:33kind of silicone in this formula that gives it a lot of slip.
02:36Because of that though, they do, they can catch on the lid.
02:41So if you're wearing just eyelid primer on your lid and it's kind of on the wet side,
02:45I would suggest slapping a little bit of powder on your lid before applying these.
02:50Then they blend beautifully.
02:52They are gorgeous shades.
02:53This shade in particular, this mid-tone brown is a great blending shade.
02:56I love this shade to deepen up the crease under the eye like I'm wearing today.
03:01A nice neutral palette.
03:02I think for $15, this is definitely on the pricey side for a quad.
03:07I mean, you can go to the drugstore and get an excellent trio or quad from Wet n Wild or
03:14Covergirl.
03:14So, totally up to you.
03:16So, next up on the eye front is this eye marker.
03:20This is called the Bombazine Black Eye Marker and it is really nice.
03:24Open it up, really classic felt tip, but it is very small and very precise.
03:30It makes it really easy to draw on wings.
03:32It's very black.
03:33It is long wearing.
03:34I'm wearing it today.
03:35Really easy to use.
03:37Highly recommend this one, actually.
03:39It's a very good eyeliner.
03:40So, last thing on the makeup front is lipstick.
03:42So, this is the And Other Stories, like classic lipstick.
03:46It is very moisturizing, pretty pigmented.
03:50I think it's a really classic lipstick, satin finish, good pigment, easy to wear, very comfortable.
03:56So, on to hair.
03:58And this was actually the category that I was the most excited about because And Other
04:01Stories recently launched a hair care range in the past year or so.
04:04This is the Restore Shampoo.
04:06This shampoo is color safe.
04:07It doesn't have sulfates.
04:09It is a very thin shampoo, if that makes sense.
04:14It comes out and I was actually surprised by how liquidy it was.
04:17It smells really good.
04:18Let me see.
04:21I mean, all of And Other Stories stuff smells amazing because they do really good scents.
04:26Really nice texture.
04:28I actually just washed my hair yesterday and my hair air dried and I like the way that
04:32it feels.
04:33It didn't lather a lot in the shower, which I took as a good sign because it is sulfate-free,
04:37so it's not going to have all that foaming that a sulfate shampoo would.
04:41So, I like this one.
04:43So next up is this Restore Treatment, which I used as a hair conditioner.
04:47It has coconut hibiscus extract in it, vegetable keratin, left it in for like three minutes in
04:53the shower.
04:54Again, it smells really good.
04:56The next hair product is this Fullness Thickening Cream, which is supposed to give thickness,
05:00body, heat protection.
05:01I never heat saw my hair, but it does give you heat protection if you need it.
05:04So I would use this in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner after getting out of
05:08the shower.
05:09My hair was kind of wet, but towel dried.
05:11I would put a dollop of this through my mid-lengths and end and then scrunch before air drying.
05:15It kind of gave my hair a little bit of frizz control.
05:18The first day after I've washed my hair, my hair tends to get very fluffy and frizzy.
05:24This is the day after I wash my hair and it's actually much more controlled.
05:28Normally it's like bigger and fuzzier.
05:32I think this definitely helped contain that.
05:35Last but not least, body care.
05:38After the shower, I put on this Eletaria body milk, which is so cute.
05:44It comes in a little like milk carton style packaging.
05:47It also smells really good.
05:50Let's try it.
05:53Like a warm milk that your mom may put a little bit of honey in, like a little vanilla, a
05:59little
06:00cinnamon, and then you drink it before bed.
06:02You have a nice mom.
06:04She never did that.
06:05But it's what I imagine might happen.
06:08It's a nice body lotion.
06:09It's very lightweight, soaks in really fast.
06:12It's not the kind of body lotion that you need to like wait around naked in like before
06:16we put on clothing.
06:18I do that anyway though.
