This past fashion week, we were so enamored with the '40's-esque twisted updos at Carolina Herrera that we simply had to figure out how to get the look for spring. We called up Bethany Brill, our go-to gal for all things hair and makeup, to tell us exactly how to get it done. The best part about this look? It can be done with any hair length; if you have shorter locks like our assistant beauty editor, you can leave the ends loose, or if you have longer hair, just twist your hair into a bun to finish. It's that simple: pretty, polished hair that's perfect for warm-weather days.

00:07Hey, I'm Tara from Refinery29.
00:09And I'm Bethany.
00:10Today we're going to show you how to do a Carolina Herrera inspired updo.
00:14We're going to start by parting the hair in the center.
00:17Spritz around the part with water just to get a sleek start to the look.
00:22Section hair into two parts, parts in front of the ear and part behind.
00:27Start on one side with the hair in front of the ear, twisting away from the face.
00:32Gather hair as you move along, adding hairpins as you go.
00:37Now we're going to start with the back section.
00:39Unclip this section, spray around the crown of the head, and brush it flat against the head.
00:48Be careful of your sides.
00:51For the next step we're going to incorporate the twists on the side into the back.
00:56So just continue twisting and gathering hair.
01:01Pin to secure.
01:02Once these two sections meet with twist, take the remainder of the hair and tie it into a little ponytail.
01:09Flip the ponytail on itself, 90's topsy tail style.
01:15So there's our take on a cute, classic hairstyle.
01:19And I don't know what good you love to me.
01:27From me.
