00:20Welcome to Craven Cottage, a stadium of real charm and history.
00:24I'm your commentator Guy Mowbray, delighted to be in the company of Stuart Robson, and
00:29everything is set up nicely to give us a really good match, what are your expectations from
00:34this?
00:34We can talk about coaches and their methods, but it's now down to the players.
00:38Which ones are going to stand out, who will affect the game, and who will have the greater
00:42desire?
00:42It should be a cracking game though.
01:04Here's the Fulham team sheet.
01:05Well in this shape, their two holding midfield players will be key today.
01:09If they can get on the ball and dictate the play, protect the two centre backs, it will
01:13then allow the attacking players to show their creative quality.
01:34This is the line-up for the visitors.
01:37Well if they're going to play as a 4-4-2, they must make sure they stay compact out of
01:41position,
01:42and then stretch the pitch when they do have the ball.
01:45How they play in transition is going to be key today.
02:02And we're underway with the first half.
02:08Well this is getting the fans interested now, and that's a shame for them nothing doing.
02:26And a superb chance now.
02:30Oh he's got to it!
02:31Yeah, quick of his line, read the shot well, and made a very good save.
02:40Into the box it goes.
02:42Only half the job done there.
02:45Well it was looking good, but there it's ended.
02:59Setting up the chance.
03:02And the keeper right behind it.
03:04Yeah, made it really difficult for the striker.
03:06Top class goalkeeping.
03:20And here it comes.
03:21That's done little to clear the danger.
03:25A move that had much promise, but it's a promise broken.
03:29Ball given away.
03:45Switched on and ready to intercept there.
03:52And the forward progress continues.
04:22This is looking good.
04:23Now what comes next?
04:42Teeing up the chance now.
04:44The tank broken up.
04:45Yeah, just stopped it in its tracks there.
04:56Ball lost and the chance gone.
05:03That's a good ball.
05:14Oh, could be a chance here.
05:20To take the lead.
05:22And it's comfortably dealt with by the goalkeeper.
05:34Could be setting something now.
05:51Oh, they've lost it.
05:54The attack is over.
05:56Terrific.
05:57See you later.
05:57Now to finish it.
06:02You can feel the frustration after that.
06:04Possibly should have hit the target.
06:08And it's pinched Freddie's mind there.
06:12And it must be.
06:13And the first blow is delivered.
06:161-0.
06:18Well, I have to say, this is a really good goal.
06:20He skips past his marker and that gives him the space to get his shot away.
06:24Excellent stuff from him.
06:27And we're back underway at 1-0.
06:37And away it goes.
06:39Well, no frills there, but sometimes that's what's needed.
06:44Interceptive.
06:45Great reading of the game.
06:47That's one player beaten.
06:51Possession loss just at the point of something happening.
06:54Breaking up pace.
06:55This could be dangerous.
06:57And I'm afraid that's where it ends for them.
07:03And a support chance now.
07:08Four excellent reflexes.
07:10Well, I always fancy him to save that one.
07:12He's really good in those situations.
07:17It's put into the middle.
07:22And it's been cut out.
07:24There's the turnover.
07:37And that will do it for the first half here in West London.
07:44.
07:49.
09:07And there's the restart.
09:09Off we go again.
09:10Off we go again.
09:17Allowed to go a long way with this.
09:20What a chance here.
09:23Great save.
09:24That's what he's there for.
09:25Well, that's a remarkable save.
09:27He just reacted so sharply there.
09:32And here it comes.
09:36Ball given away.
09:39The ref has seen that as a foul.
09:58A turnaround in possession.
10:00Excellent positioning.
10:12And the hard work pays off.
10:14They've won the ball.
10:20Moving it forward with purpose.
10:22Something on, maybe.
10:23And stopped in their tracks with a change in possession.
10:28Well, look at the room.
10:29They've got to attack now.
10:31Senses don't come much better.
10:36And so close to finishing it off.
10:38Well, that was counter-attacking football at its very best.
10:41Unfortunately, they just couldn't finish it off.
10:57It's to equalize.
10:59That's a score, but hasn't.
11:01Yeah, a big placement would have been a better option, Guy.
11:06And here comes a change.
11:24Scruffy play.
11:25Ball lost.
11:27Now, who can he play it to?
11:31Ball's safely cleared.
11:43He's in here.
11:46And they've scored.
11:48Second best no longer.
11:50It's level again.
11:58Well, let's have another look,
12:00because this is a goal they have thoroughly deserved.
12:02They've played really well so far.
12:09One all, then, as we get started again.
12:18And still allowed to run on here.
12:21Chains for the lead.
12:22And another.
12:23Two goals in a matter of minutes.
12:26No wonder they're celebrating.
12:28Incredible.
12:38Well, as you can see, he doesn't mess about here, does he?
12:41He's strong, well-balanced, and skillful.
12:43That's a top-class finish.
12:58And we're back underway at 2-1 now.
13:01Missente, travel here from Spain.
13:03Xavier, can you please go back and meet the rest of the party at the ticket office?
13:16They've lost it, needlessly, really.
13:21Space out wide, and they're using it.
13:24It's a brilliant chance!
13:26Oh, they've scored a game!
13:28The game had only just restarted after the last one.
13:36Well, here it is again.
13:37He goes past his marker so easily with just a drop of the shoulder,
13:40and his movement's so clever.
13:42Once he gets onto it, there's only one thought in his head.
13:45Smash it as hard as possible.
13:46Oh, what a good goal.
13:53Three goals to one, then, as we get started again.
13:59Well, there's one left behind.
14:02But that's where it ends, with the ball won this time.
14:10What a chance here!
14:13And tidy work to push it to safety.
14:23Could be something happening here.
14:25There's something on here, a chance to attack.
14:28And that's been ruled as off-site.
14:47And we've entered the final five.
14:55There's a sign of stopping yet.
15:00Now to finish it.
15:02And there's the hat-trick.
15:04He'll be taking the match ball home.
15:19Well, let's see this again.
15:21This is counter-attacking football at its very best.
15:24And there's certainly no doubt about the finish.
15:25He really hits it with power and accuracy.
15:28Nothing the keeper can do about that.
15:41And the game restarts with the score now 4-1.
15:52And the defender left behind.
15:55And the effort is wide.
15:57Yeah, not far away, but the keeper would have saved it, I think.
16:10And that's the final whistle.
16:12And that's the final whistle.
16:26A positive result, at least as far as the home fans are concerned.
16:30What did you make of their performance?
16:33Well, it was a...
16:33And it's pinched Reddy's mind there.
16:46And it's pinched Reddy's mind there.
