00:00And he's stretching the imagination.
00:01He's been great in the fourth quarter, but not so much in the first three quarters.
00:05That's a problem.
00:06He's a very streaky, inconsistent player, and he also helps dig the grave
00:11that they always seem to have to dig themselves out of week in and week out.
00:15He's got to be better early in these games.
00:18There's no question about it.
00:21That's the dangerous one, Darryl Ryder.
00:23By the way, how'd Trick-or-Treat go for you on Saturday?
00:26You know what? Amazing.
00:28We should ask Darryl if he gave out candy in his new place.
00:31Oh, how did we miss that?
00:32Damn it.
00:33Let's bring him back on.
00:34Yeah, get his ass like that.
00:35Here's Darryl right here.
00:36Brought to you by Shabin' Jewelry's, Cleveland's premier jewelry store.
00:40Darryl, how'd Halloween go?
00:42Oh, my.
00:44Stop yapping.
00:46Stop yapping.
00:47No, stop flapping your gums.
00:49Stop flapping your gums.
00:50We need that.
00:51We need the flapping your gums.
00:52It was amazing because they're both old enough to have fun with it now.
00:56Yeah.
00:56And first time that we've not done a wagon or a stroller.
01:00Like, they walked it.
01:01Yeah.
01:01And we made them walk home.
01:03Had to carry Mace Dog the last little bit.
01:06But it was awesome because our neighborhood, people come from all over.
01:09It's on the news all the time.
01:11This one dude, this one dude had a haunted house set up in his backyard.
01:16We have little yards.
01:17Yeah.
01:17You know, we do not have a lot of...
01:18We have one of those, too.
01:19That's awesome.
01:20And it went for...
01:21I timed it.
01:22It was like seven minutes.
01:23He somehow had weaving in and out.
01:27That's a lot of work.
01:28Izzy was a little scared.
01:30Mason was loving it.
01:32That's crazy.
01:33Had paid actors.
01:35I don't know if they were paid.
01:36But they were there.
01:37We used to have a house that had their family members.
01:39And they were like...
01:40But you just walked into the garage and walked back out.
01:42Yeah.
01:42Like, it wasn't like a whole labyrinth of places you had to go to.
01:47It was...
01:48That's cool, man.
01:49It was amazing.
01:50It felt like also...
01:51Because it's a competition between everybody on that street.
01:54The realtors tell everybody when they move in.
01:56Because there's two new ones who are kind of forced into having to be a part of it.
02:00Which, you know, that's always a little bit of a controversy.
02:03But there was a lot of alcohol given out as well.
02:08What's wrong with that?
02:09Nothing wrong with me.
02:10I think Sarah kept looking and saying, you know, this is about the kids, right?
02:13Oh, here we go.
02:15I said, it was about me having some fun.
02:18The only problem was, there's nowhere to throw out empty beer bottles.
02:21Wait.
02:22So that just went in the candy bucket.
02:25You gotta go hard liquor.
02:26Just went candy bucket.
02:28Because then you drink less and you ain't got to go in the bushes or anything like that.
02:31So at one point, Sarah was not happy that Mason was walking around with his candy in a bottle.
02:36Hearing the bottles clanging together.
02:38Like, no, that would have been good.
02:39That wouldn't have been.
02:40I agree with her.
02:41Did she dress up?
02:42Did you dress up?
02:43I did not.
02:44Yeah.
02:45Did Sarah?
02:46The wife just did a very simple cat thing.
02:47I thought it was about the kids.
02:48Cat thing.
02:50Yeah.
02:50I thought it was about the kids.
02:52It was awesome.
02:53It was a beautiful night.
02:54That was our best October.
02:55Best October ever.
02:57Except for the, you know, the ALCS games.
02:59Weather-wise.
03:00But other than that, it was an amazing, amazing time.
03:02Would you call it an October to remember?
03:06I went as Jim Trafficking.
03:08I was able to pull it off.
03:09Kenny, I'd explain to some people in my family about Jim Trafficking.
03:13The Youngstown people that were at my house enjoyed it thoroughly.
03:18They really enjoyed it thoroughly.
03:20I did not enjoy the part where I didn't have to put any gray spray paint in my hair because
03:24somehow when I poofed it up, it was just like, oh my gosh, I look like a ghost.
03:29But other than that, and the sunglasses I got I didn't realize were readers because I
03:33just ripped them off the shelf on a closeout section of a local store.
03:39I didn't even think about it.
03:40And I looked and said, I go, what's plus 1.50 stand for?
03:44And I was like, whoa, I can't even look out of these things.
03:46So I wore them sparingly, but everything else was great.
03:48I got to wear Rexunahara's cowboy boots.
03:51That was excellent.
03:52It was a great time.
03:52I imagine you did not dress up for the occasion.
03:55No.
03:56Okay.
03:56I was working in the yard telling the kids to get out of it.
04:01You didn't hand out candy?
04:02No, we handed out candy.
04:03I was about to say.
04:04I didn't do booze this year for the first time in a while.
04:06Oh, Sarah would have had a problem with you.
04:08Yeah, well, she's not allowed in my neighborhood, so I don't care.
04:12Excommunicated.
04:13It's okay.
04:14Hand out some booze.
04:15Hand out some booze for everybody.
04:16We didn't do it because the street's kind of dying.
04:20It was sad.
04:21Oh, no.
04:22I'm a full-size candy bar house, and the street's kind of dying.
04:26My wife got a bucket of ring pops.
04:28The street's kind of dying.
04:29It was her first year to be home.
04:32She's always went with the kids or trailed behind, but now the kids are all grown.
04:36Man, cat's in the cradle, man.
04:38That is kind of sad.
04:41Man.
04:42You need a replenishing.
04:43It's that trunk-or-treat stuff, man.
04:45There is.
04:45There's a lot of that, but that's in addition.
04:47But I don't understand.
04:48That shouldn't be your only experience.
04:51The thing was more that they all are too old that live by us.
04:55Oh, really?
04:55Oh, you need new blood in there.
04:58Yeah, I think, I mean, so Wyatt's 14.
05:01He's a freshman.
05:03They, when he was younger, there was a ton of kids his age that were around.
05:06Toby's age, 13.
05:08They don't have a ton of kids running around there.
05:11You know what would be great?
05:12You know how a lot of the people that live around the big golf courses that have tournaments
05:16every year when the tournament comes in, they go down somewhere else and they rent their
05:21place out?
05:21So that's what should happen during Halloween.
05:23The old people, the older people should be displaced just for that night.
05:28Have younger people come in, like a fake family, come in and give away candy and make it an
05:33awesome experience.
05:34That is interesting.
05:36But I enjoyed it.
05:38I enjoyed it thoroughly.
05:39We had the Friday the 13th, dude.
05:43No, I'm sorry.
05:44What's the other one?
05:45Thursday the 12th.
05:46Halloween.
05:47Michael Myers.
05:48Yeah, what about him?
05:49We had Michael Myers doing the same thing again, just walking down the middle of the
05:53street, not getting out of character and then leading us to wonder what if that really
06:00is what he wants to do is he wants to, he wants to be very bad.
06:04Keep your guard up.
06:05But everybody's laughing and filming and have a good time with him.
06:08Well, do they know who he is?
06:10Okay.
06:11Some kid was like, you know, that's my dad.
06:13And I'm like, okay, well then that's fine.
06:14What if your dad is having a rough year and then eventually this goes the other way.
06:18And then every year it's like, oh, we were just filming him every year.
06:21I didn't think about it like that.
06:22We just thought it was a great gag.
06:23Michael was somebody's uncle.
06:25That's right.
06:26And brother.
06:27Yes.
06:27People forget that.
06:28I don't think Michael was ever a father.
06:30Of course, I don't know what he did.
06:31This long, 15 years.
06:33I mean, Lord.
06:342-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
06:36Take a couch and goes Dr. Melfi next year.
06:38Oh my God.
06:40I know what's going on with him.
06:41I had an idea for next year.
06:42I'm either going to go as Dusty Rhodes or I popped in all the right moves again.
06:47And I think I want Axel to go as Tom Cruise.
06:50His godfather to go as Craig T. Nelson.
06:52And I might go as Bosco.
06:54I know you haven't seen it.
06:56I know.
06:56But I love a very, very, very dated and inside reference.
07:00And I think I'd like to be Bosco.
07:02I think I could be a good heel.
07:04That was Costanza's pin number.
07:05Yes.
07:062-1-6-4-7-4-0-92.
07:08All right.
07:09Are we giving Deshaun Watson a pass?
07:12And should we be called out for giving Deshaun Watson a pass?
07:15Should we give Deshaun Watson a pass?
07:17I'm giving him a pass.
07:20Well, define a pass.
07:21Define a pass.
07:22Let me ask.
07:22Don't we all know in football.
07:24Don't we say this at every level?
07:25High school, NFL, college.
07:28Don't we all say the same thing?
07:30What do you need to do?
07:31What do you need to provide for an offense and for a quarterback that has some limitations?
07:37Right?
07:37And we, yeah, we'd all love to have a quarterback that doesn't have limitations.
07:40How many exist?
07:42So, what do we all say?
07:43Need to protect them.
07:45Need to have a running game.
07:47I don't want to say that.
07:48And I don't want to give them a pass.
07:50And then when it was so obvious they had neither, then what do you want him to do in those
07:54situations?
07:54I don't want to sit here and just, well, I'm going to give him a pass for this, that, and
07:57the other.
07:58Like, we start giving passes, but I go, if we're being fair and we talk about the blame for a
08:02loss,
08:03where does he line up as the blame for a loss?
08:05Bottom of the list?
08:06And when Watson is really struggling, and we've seen, I think we know how to identify a struggling Deshaun Watson.
08:14The turfing balls, right?
08:16Running himself into sacks.
08:17That did not happen yesterday.
08:19There were eight sacks.
08:20And the people that keep track of this stuff, they all said, offensive line, offensive line,
08:24roughest day of the year for the offensive line.
08:26It's impossible for me to disagree because it's the truth.
08:29And, like, he was threading balls down the field to Harold Fannin in the zone.
08:34He was layering throws.
08:36He even had the drop.
08:38Like, he does not have great touch.
08:39We all know that's not a strength of Deshaun Watson, the touch factor.
08:42He also dropped one perfectly in, just like Aaron Rodgers did yesterday.
08:47So, it wasn't that he, we know when there's bad Watson, he's running around, you know, chicken with his head
08:53cut off.
08:54He's grounding throws into the turf.
08:56And he's just inaccurate.
08:58That wasn't the case yesterday.
09:00Let me get to the phones here.
09:01I was like, what game was I watching that?
09:02Now, the bad turnover early on.
09:04And so, they had two fumbles right away.
09:07Now, I personally thought you could have called him, in the old days, that's in the grass,
09:11but you could have just whistled it dead.
09:12And then he tried to throw the ball.
09:14That's stupid.
09:14That's a dumb play.
09:16Part of it is some of the best plays they had made early this season were him getting out of
09:21those situations.
09:21I think there was an understanding there that if they were going to do, well, this is excuse making, so
09:29fine.
09:29I guess what's on him is on him.
09:31But, I mean, there does come a realization in a football game,
09:33and that can happen soon that we ain't going to do anything unless I do start forcing things
09:37and doing some things that are a little bit crazy.
09:38I was glad they didn't do it.
09:40I'm glad he didn't do it.
09:42The killer, because I was still thinking this way,
09:46when they were down 13-6 and there were 40-something seconds left,
09:49I was just like, all right, let's get into the half.
09:51This could have been a hell of a lot worse.
09:53Still within striking distance.
09:55Got to go out and get a stop in the first drive of the second half,
09:59but we can still tie this thing up and we can get going.
10:01And then when they score that touchdown, there I go, 20-6 looks awful.
10:0520-6 looks like an absolute beating at halftime.
10:10There's certain scores that you see, and it just looks worse than what it is.
10:14And, like, I could say, well, 14 points is 14, but 20-6 looks terrible.
10:18It just looks like you have been listless and terrible,
10:21and that Pittsburgh or the team you played, without even looking at the team,
10:24without looking at the game, the team you played was able to do anything they wanted.
10:29And that's how it felt for a lot of fans.
10:31Pittsburgh could have done anything they wanted.
10:33And in the second half, when the wheels got shaky and then they fell off,
10:36I thought that Aaron Rodgers just started to do egotistical stuff.
10:40Because I thought for a while, I was like, why even bother throwing the ball?
10:42There's no reason to throw the ball.
10:43You can run it right down our throats, hold on to the ball,
10:47we can get out of here in a tight half an hour, because we can't stop anything now.
10:50And then as soon as I wrote that down, Aaron Rodgers decides to go throw in two in a row,
10:54and the three and out, and I'm like, that had to be him.
10:56That could, there's no way that was anybody but him.
10:59I would have been shocked.
11:01Then they made it a 28-6 game, or 27-6 game, and that was it.
11:042-1-6-4-7-4-0-92.
11:06Paul in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
11:08You're next up on the fan.
11:09Hello, Paul.
11:10Good morning, gentlemen.
11:11How are you?
11:12We're doing okay.
11:12Go ahead.
11:13I can't believe I'm going to say this, because I'm not a Watson fan.
11:17But I do disagree with one thing about Dale Ryder,
11:20and one comment you made last segment.
11:22One, I don't think Daryl was right at all, because I'm going to take a page out of the
11:28book of Tony Lima, because he always comes with numbers.
11:31Yesterday, Watson dropped back 39 times, faced 20 pressures.
11:36That's over 50%.
11:38He was hit 14 times, 36%.
11:41Yet he still completed 69.2% of his passes.
11:45And I'm telling you right now, Pittsburgh did not pull their starters.
11:49They were trying to hurt somebody yesterday.
11:51They had their ears pinned back for four quarters.
11:54Well, Mason Rudolph, when Mason Rudolph goes out there, that's when you know they're calling
11:59the dogs off there, Paul.
12:01Well, agreed.
12:02But that offensive line was atrocious.
12:04You said it.
12:05Six blockers, five defenders.
12:06How many times did he say hike yesterday?
12:09It was bad.
12:09And they had a lineman untouched, not chipped.
12:13That's on the running backs, too, missing their assignments.
12:16Watson was running for his life all day.
12:18And you complete almost 70% of your passes and throw no picks.
12:23That's pretty darn impressive.
12:25Now, another stat we haven't talked about, because I know Swessinger loads up the tackles,
12:30and he did yesterday again.
12:31But you know what?
12:32He probably had six or seven missed tackles because he took bad angles to the ball, diving
12:37for the running back with a weak arm tackle.
12:39And they just slipped right off of him.
12:43We've got to get...
12:44It wasn't our secondary.
12:46I mean, Rodgers only completed barely over 50% of his passes and threw for 150 less yards
12:51than Watson.
12:52This is definitely not a Watson.
12:53And I never thought there'd be a day I would defend this guy.
12:57But this was completely on everyone but him.
13:00I agree.
13:01There's no disagree with me, Paul.
13:03I mean, they gave up 200 yards on the ground combined.
13:05Gave up 160 in the first half.
13:07Go ahead.
13:07Yeah, quickly on Swessinger, because it was so evident that he was banged up yesterday.
13:12And because of that, it really compromised his ability.
13:16They picked on him.
13:17I mean, if you look, Aaron Rodgers at the line of scrimmage was identifying where Carson
13:21Swessinger was and then devising the matchups.
13:24And here's the good and the bad of having a warrior on your team.
13:28And some of the Browns players even called him a warrior because he's not only dealing
13:32with, what, the ankle, but also a wrist injury, too.
13:34And they all called him a warrior.
13:35Well, he's also got something, it looks like he's got something underneath where his shoulder
13:38is.
13:40He's got something both.
13:41The issue is, I love that Carson Swessinger is doing whatever it takes to play.
13:47Teams are going to use that against him.
13:48So what do you do?
13:49What do you do if you're the Browns?
13:50Yeah, but if he's not out there on the field, you're going to lose something there.
13:53Like, I can't put it all on Quincy Williams.
13:54He's not that guy.
13:55That's what I mean.
13:56They're in a brutal spot because it's like they need him, but you look at what teams
14:04are doing.
14:04They are making him chase 30 yards down the field.
14:07And that's the thing.
14:07And I've told you about their depth before.
14:09He has to be out there because you have Justin Jefferson behind him who's not ready to go.
14:13All right?
14:14And then you also have Winston Reed behind him who would be playing out of place and is
14:17our special teams guy.
14:18So he's not ready to start in that capacity unless absolutely needed to.
14:23Again, depth plays a factor in this.
14:25And that's part of the reason, no, there's no reason for me to lose my mind and start screaming
14:29and yelling and telling everybody that we got to get rid of all these guys because
14:32that's, that's, they're five and three and that's insane.
14:35Second of all, there are, there's logical reasons why not things went the way they did
14:40yesterday.
14:40That was pretty rough, but also that they've lost a game or three.
14:45That's part of the reason.
14:46And Carson Swessinger being picked apart by a smart quarterback, a future Hall of Famer
14:50because he's hampered with injury is something that is going to have to be addressed.
14:54Now, Tyler Shook isn't nearly as good as what you have with, uh, with, with Aaron Rogers.
14:58So you might be able to get away with some of this here over the next couple of weeks.
15:02CJ Stroud has been good, been bad.
15:03I don't know if he's going to be as good as Aaron Rogers is and recognizing these things,
15:07but I'm sure as hell he's going to be told.
15:09So now it's up to your front four to create pressure.
15:12So you can get, if you can speed up the clock on guys,
15:15then you get, you take that pressure off of Carson Swessinger when he's in coverage to
15:21one, six, four, seven, four to below 92.
15:23I'll get to all you guys.
15:24Are we given too much of a pass?
15:25Are we, you know what?
15:27Are we giving too much of the past of a pass to the Browns after a loss and a rivalry
15:30game
15:30as it is Ken Carmen, Anthony Lyman, live on the fan.
