03:59So this episode, the big news today, WWE has announced the location and date for the WWE Royal Rumble.
04:07We've been wondering for quite a while if WWE was going to try to counter-program AEW or not.
04:11It turns out that is not going to be the case.
04:14AEW is going to have their show running at a totally different date and time than the Royal Rumble in
04:19February.
04:20The Royal Rumble will be Saturday, February 6th at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
04:25And this is not a one-time thing.
04:27What they are talking about is a much more substantial deal between TKO Properties and Arizona.
04:35We're talking about UFC fights.
04:37We're talking about the bull riding.
04:38Everything that they are a part of coming to Arizona.
04:41This is a multi-event situation, and it should be very cool.
04:44In addition, the week of the Royal Rumble, we're also going to see SmackDown taped there.
04:49There's a AAA show that will be taped there.
04:51Those two will take place on the 5th.
04:52So this is going to be a big opportunity for Arizona to showcase what they've got to offer.
04:57And maybe someday down the road, that turns into a WrestleMania appearance.
05:00I don't know.
05:00We'll have to wait and see.
05:01WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash in the news.
05:04Now that we know that Triple H is looking at people like Bobby Roode, Shawn Michaels, AJ Styles,
05:11moving into creative roles as the old guard kind of makes their way out of the business or takes a
05:16step back,
05:17the question came up on his Click This podcast about whether or not he would be interested in a creative
05:23job with WWE.
05:25And at 67 years old, he is not interested.
05:27He said, you know, because Triple H is 10 years younger than he is, that's something for Triple H to
05:31do.
05:31He would be open to a position helping in some way, shape, or form with NXT if he was able
05:36to do it via Zoom.
05:37But he doesn't want that schedule.
05:39And he made mention of the fact that he has, you know, a sense of humor that he thinks would
05:44get on Triple H's nerves.
05:45So he is not interested in that creative role.
05:47And now here the interesting thing for me is, is in WCW for a little while, he was the booker.
05:52He and Kevin Sullivan were co-booking.
05:54He was booking for a while.
05:56He did have some ideas.
05:57Not all of them were great.
05:59Not all of them panned out.
06:00But some of them did.
06:01And the fact that he doesn't have an interest in doing that now, I mean, look, at that age, I'm
06:06sure he wants to take a step back, you know, keep, you know, enjoying the fruits of his labor.
06:10He was very good with money.
06:11He made a ton of it.
06:12And he apparently invested quite well with all of it.
06:15So if he doesn't want to work another day in his life, he doesn't have to.
06:17Keep doing your podcast and enjoying life.
06:19That's what happens when you've given so much to this business.
06:23And, you know, I have no problem with the decision.
06:25Now, I do wonder sometimes how he might be able to bring a different perspective to that creative process if
06:32he were to take an opportunity to be on the creative team.
06:34But for right now, and it looks like for the time in the near future, it sounds like he is
06:39not going to go that route.
06:40Some people speculated that might have to do with politics.
06:43WWE very closely aligned with the Republican Party, whereas he is not necessarily that way.
06:48Recently, he was actually blasting both Republicans and Democrats for why there's so much division in the country.
06:52But there was also a conversation where people were questioning his friendship with Glenn Jacobs, formerly known as Cain, because
06:59Glenn Jacobs, very close alliance with Donald Trump.
07:02And he made it clear that they keep their politics separate and their friendship is a separate issue.
07:07And he is still friends with Cain.
07:08He has no issue with the fact that he has different politics.
07:11They both have their own ways of believing.
07:13I think it's one of the most immature perspectives you could possibly have.
07:16And I really appreciate the fact that he has that way of looking at it.
07:19But let's get into somebody who former WWE superstar coming back to the company, Fred Rosser coming back into the
07:26mix.
07:26He's been gone for several years, used to be a tag team with Titus O'Neil.
07:31Now he's coming back to NXT as a coach.
07:34And he clarified actually today he's going to be a guest coach for NXT, hoping that this turns into something
07:38a little more substantial.
07:41Has been spending a lot of time in recent years in New Japan Pro Wrestling strong area here in the
07:47United States, sometimes overseas in Japan, a lot of independence.
07:51This is, I think, a great step for him.
07:53He's now a ring veteran.
07:54He's been doing this for a significant amount of time at this point.
07:57And I think he can offer a lot of perspective, especially to those young talents who might be overzealous about
08:02that young career.
08:03And look, he was pushed to the top as Darren Young very quickly.
08:07And sometimes you look backwards at what he went through, tag team champion in WWE, not for a long period
08:13of time, but he got the opportunity to have that.
08:14And then once he went away, didn't really make it back to that mountaintop again.
08:18And, you know, that's something that he could talk to those young talents about and, you know, being prepared to
08:23all, you know, why it's so important to do every little thing they possibly could do to stay relevant and
08:28maintain their spot.
08:29I think it's actually a great gift for NXT.
08:31And I actually hope he does really well and can parlay that into a more permanent position.
08:35Adam Copeland in the news.
08:37Adam Copeland talking about the fact that he and Tony Khan had a conversation where he and Khan both would
08:43have been open to him being in the John Cena tour for his final sequence of matches.
08:48That he had no problem with it.
08:50Tony Khan had no problem with it.
08:51And that it was more of a WWE thing.
08:53And this is, to me, fascinating.
08:56WWE, the ones who keep counter-programming AEW, always treating them like second-rate wrestling, which, let's be honest, because
09:02the global reach of WWE is so much more does not mean that AEW is not just as good a
09:06product on television.
09:08And the fact that Tony Khan and Edge were willing to do this and WWE said no to this, I
09:13think that weighs heavily, more heavily on WWE's culpability in this situation.
09:18It doesn't have anything to do with AEW.
09:19It tells me that when we talk about how it's, like, impossible for these two companies to ever work together,
09:25that is not true.
09:26It's impossible so long as TKO and WWE refuse to allow it to happen.
09:31It sounds as though Tony Khan, Adam Copeland, and others in AEW would be willing to make it happen.
09:36But for whatever reason, TKO and WWE not willing to put on a mega show, it would really blow the
09:43minds of all the wrestling fans out there.
09:45Now, you do have some people, like Gabe Kidd in the news today, saying how there's nobody in WWE worth
09:49wrestling, which is absolutely ludicrous.
09:51And he's a fool for saying, I get he want to support your company or whatever, but there's ways to
09:55say it.
09:55Don't make you sound so stupid.
09:56But whatever.
09:58I'm not trying to knock Gabe Kidd, but it's a really bad take.
10:00You know, it really is.
10:01But this is interesting to see that Tony Khan was definitely willing to do this, and Adam Copeland has no
10:06reason to say that if that wasn't going to happen.
10:09Now into some of the more wonky news of the day.
10:12Bill Goldberg, on November 4th, will be on Shark Tank for his Hero Covers company, where they make custom photorealistic
10:20covers for cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, car seats, all that kind of stuff, looking for investors to invest in their
10:27organization to grow that business.
10:28And it's one of those things I never thought you would see somebody like Bill Goldberg on Shark Tank.
10:33If you've never watched Shark Tank, it's where you go in and you sales pitch yourself to all these billionaires
10:37and see if they'll invest in your company, trying for them to make a buck, but also to help you
10:41get established better.
10:43And there have been some interesting ones over the years who've come and gone.
10:46Some that have gotten deals, some that have not.
10:48Really fascinating stuff.
10:49I'll be watching because I'm curious to see if they give Bill Goldberg money.
10:52You know, just because he was successful in the pro wrestling world and football world does not mean he's going
10:56to be successful in the business world.
10:58And so we'll have to wait and see how he turns out.
11:00I wonder if he'll get an offer.
11:01And if he does, I wonder what kind of percentage they're going to want to take from his company because
11:04that's usually how it works.
11:05They want a percentage of the company for them buying in.
11:08So it should be very interesting.

11:16I came across.

11:21World Series Wrestling out of Australia put on Mega Mania this weekend and the card was stacked.
11:27I mean, top to bottom.
11:29Killer Cross on the card taking on former New Japan superstar Tetsuya Naito.
11:33We had Andrade was there.
11:37There was Shayna Baszler taking on Zoe Serrano, her tag team partner, her TNA Knockouts tag team champion partner in
11:46the United States.
11:47They faced off head to head, and it was very amicable.
11:49It was a great match.
11:50You should check it out.
11:51The whole card, top to bottom, stacked.
11:53Really memorable people in almost every match.
11:56And the ones who weren't, you need to check out anyways because they were incredible.
11:59And those are the kinds of people you would imagine.
12:00WWE, AEW, TNA, places like that are going to have their eyes on hoping to bring in fresh talent in
12:06the future.
12:06And I think if they're as good as they were on this show, it was top quality too.
12:10The production was great.
12:12The entrances were solid.
12:13The matches were pretty fire.
