00:00I don't want this team to be electrifying offensively and horrible defensively.
00:04They've got to get better defensively.
00:06That was the concern when they had some injuries on the defensive side early.
00:09I remember talking when I was there for the opener.
00:13You taught me this, actually.
00:15I'm a Caps fan.
00:16I've grown up watching Caps hockey.
00:18Shout out to Ally Afraidy, right?
00:21I'm not a Caps expert.
00:23I don't pretend to be.
00:25But I'm lucky in our line of work.
00:27I've gotten to know people that really know their pucks.
00:31And I remember being at the opener, the season opener, and there was a lot of excitement.
00:35But the one concern was they've added so much offensively.
00:39They don't have a ton of defensive depth.
00:41Then they've had a couple injuries.
00:42And here we are.
00:44Can it get to a, like, remember back in the day?
00:47They're also fine.
00:49Like, we don't need to read too much into this.
00:51They're fine, but listen, I know it was exciting hockey where we would always win the President's Cup,
00:56this, that, and the other, but couldn't go beyond that.
00:58Yeah.
00:59I don't want to be at that point again.
01:00Yeah.
01:00I think at this point now we know.
01:02Yeah, you can score a lot of goals, but you better be able to stop somebody else from scoring.
01:06Yeah.
01:06And if they can just get better at that, I think that some big things can happen.
01:10If not, it'll be exciting.
01:13But it won't be mesmerizing.
01:16If not, it'll be amazing.
