Heavy rains sweeping through northern Chile have left over 12 people dead, 20 missing and close to 5600 homeless. Over 4400 homes were damaged by the rains and ensuing floods. Bolivia and other regional countries have offered humanitarian support, but Chilean officials say the situation is under control. teleSUR
