00:17We got Tracy on the phone today for First Responder Friday.
00:20She is nominating her daughter today. Her name is Elizabeth.
00:25Good morning, Tracy. How are you doing?
00:26I'm doing pretty good. How are you?
00:27We're doing great. It's kind of cool to talk to you about your daughter, because as we read over her bio here,
00:31she's kind of starting her career of being a first responder, right?
00:36She's been at CMT school, and she's currently in paramedic school.
00:40And it's been super crazy because of COVID, you know, and quarantine.
00:44So it's been real challenging, but she's doing great.
00:47Now, what inspired Elizabeth to do this kind of work?
00:52Well, her dad, my husband, is a law enforcement officer.
00:56And then she has a brother who is a helicopter pilot in the Army.
00:59Oh, wow.
01:00So just, yep, long line of first responders.
01:04But she's always cared about other people, would always, like, play with the stuffed animals and their baby dogs
01:09and take care of them and fix them and play, you know, hospital.
01:12So I kind of saw from a young age that that's kind of where she might go with her life.
01:17Yeah.
01:18And we thought she was going to be a vet, and then she switched to people.
01:21And I was really excited about that because, you know, I just think that's great.
01:25Yeah.
01:25She's a caretaker.
01:26You can tell from a young age.
01:27Sounds like it.
01:28You know what I also think about this is that, as people know, this is a very male-dominated field.
01:34It takes a strong woman to succeed in this.
01:36And I think you definitely see that in her, as you mentioned in your email.
01:40Absolutely.
01:41I think it's great.
01:42I had two sons and then three girls, and always raised them, you know, that they could do whatever they wanted to do with their lives
01:49or whatever, you know, that God put in their lives.
01:52And, you know, she was, like, summa cum laude in high school and worked really hard.
01:56And her goal is to be a fire medic.
01:59But I told her, I said, keep going.
02:01She can be a physician, you know.
02:03Nurse practitioner.
02:04Nurse practitioner, doctor if she wanted to.
02:07But we'll see.
02:08I think she has other plans, too, you know.
02:10Wants to have a life.
02:11For sure.
02:12We already love Elizabeth so much for doing what she does and because she loves animals.
02:17What else does Elizabeth like to do when she's not studying and working towards this career?
02:24Well, she is a regular at Dallas Bull.
02:26She likes to go dancing.
02:28I love it.
02:30I like that.
02:31Some of her favorite singers are Jack Ryan or Morgan Wallace.
02:35So, you know, that dancing, it's a great stress reliever.
02:39I love that.
02:40That's awesome.
02:41Usually we get people who say, oh, they go to the beach or fishing.
02:44Nope, she goes to the Dallas Bull.
02:45Straight to the Dallas Bull.
02:46Love that.
