00:00Hi, I'm Sonia Comiskey and I'm based in central Queensland. I'm very proud to have been nominated
00:06as a finalist in the Women in Agriculture category. I founded Pine Tree Projects in 2012
00:13and much of my work sits across agriculture, agri-food innovation and regional development.
00:20A big part of what I do is helping turn good ideas into practical outcomes, whether that's
00:27working with producers to make better decisions about technology, supporting agri-food or ag-tech
00:33founders or bringing industry, government and regional communities together around new opportunities.
00:40I didn't grow up on a farm but I fell in love with agriculture after moving back to regional
00:45Queensland and becoming involved in cattle production. Since then that interest has taken me from
00:50branded beef and value chains through to a Nuffield scholarship, ag-tech adoption and now I'm
00:56exploring how Agentic AI can help make better advisory support available to more primary
01:02producers. What I love most about Australian agriculture is the people, the opportunity to
01:08keep learning and the chance to contribute to an industry that matters enormously to our
01:13regions and our future. I'm incredibly honoured and humbled to be recognised alongside so many
01:19incredibly inspiring people, especially women who are making a difference across Australian
01:25agriculture. Thank you.
