00:00For studio coverage, Lauren Jabara,
00:02Rene Montgomery, and Tina Charles have he covered.
00:05Astier a steal.
00:06Now 10 thefts for France,
00:09and two points on the other end for Pauline Astier,
00:12her first bucket of the day.
00:15And this France team shooting nearly 60% from the field.
00:20Also to go along with a close to 50% clip
00:24from the three-point line.
00:31Nine players for France have scored.
00:33They've got numbers.
00:35The lob!
00:35Williams tried to complete the alley-oop.
00:39A little showtime in Berlin.
00:41Now if that was Don Malanga,
00:43maybe we will see a breakaway dunk.
00:48Look at that pass by Astier, though.
00:50It's a great finish from Williams,
00:52but it's a level of comfort just leading her open.
00:56There she shoots the gaps.
00:58It's another steal that turns it to two at the other end.
01:09Juhasz, the box out, and puts it back up and in.
01:13Four points for Dorca Juhasz in the second quarter.
01:17And really, Juhasz hasn't had a ton of looks.
01:21A lot of the shots she's creating
01:23has been her grabbing some offensive rebounds.
01:28Williams fires and delivers!
01:31Another three for Gabby Williams,
01:33her third, and she's got 15 in the first half.
01:39During the qualifiers, she shot 40% from three.
01:45Talk about such a tough aspect.
01:48Another steal.
01:49Make it 12 for France.
01:50Juhasz off the window and in.
01:5441-point lead for France.
01:59The other competition in Group B, Korea and Nigeria.
02:06The Nigerians at 1-0 in Group B play.
02:11Spin move, Turner.
02:13Two players come to the ball,
02:16and Hungary does not get a shot off.
02:18A clinic in Berlin by France.
02:2261-20 at the half.
02:24They shoot 62% from the floor overall, 50% from three.
02:28The defense has fueled the offense,
02:30and France is rolling.
02:33See what happens here in the second half.
02:35Lauren, Renee, and Tina Charles
02:37have you covered at the half.
02:40You're watching the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup
02:44on TNT Sports.
02:5241-point lead for France through 20 minutes.
02:55A statement so far in this ballgame.
02:58Those numbers pop off the screen at you.
03:0118 turnovers for Hungary that France has capitalized
03:04into 27 points.
03:06It's also led to why they've been so efficient
03:08from the field, and it's not just been one individual.
03:11It's been everyone making contributions,
03:13their level of balance, how they've shared the basketball,
03:17the weapons they have on the floor offensively,
03:20that they just continue to work and spray to different players,
03:24and it's been a huge challenge for Hungary
03:26to try and defend inside game, outside game,
03:29half court, full court.
03:30It doesn't matter.
03:31France is making a statement.
03:33They're hitting on all cylinders,
03:34and you can see it here by the numbers.
03:37Eight different players have a steal,
03:39led by Williams, who has three thefts in this game,
03:4311 of her 15 points in that second quarter.
03:46And the second half is underway.
03:50Starting five on the floor for head coach,
03:53Jean-Aime Tupac.
03:56Brendan Glasheen, Sarah Kustak,
03:57great to have you with us at Berlin Arena in Berlin, Germany.
04:00Our first day of coverage for the FIBA World Cup.
04:04Oh, we got a tournament ahead of us.
04:06This has been an amazing first day.
04:10Still more to come,
04:12but as you continue to see these teams get comfortable with one another,
04:16comfortable at the stage and the setting,
04:19it's been really fun to see their production.
04:25Salon faked the three, had five first half points,
04:27tried to shovel it up and in, but Juhasz with the swan.
04:31I know our tremendous studio crew had talked about this.
04:35It's going to be really interesting to continue to monitor
04:37just what happens in the second half.
04:39Does France continue this pace?
04:41Do they keep their foot on the gas?
04:43How they play?
04:44Can Hungary start to make a push?
04:46Obviously, this wasn't probably what they anticipated this first half to go like,
04:51but in what ways can they work within themselves
04:53and try to compartmentalize to cut into this deficit?
04:56A pair of high ball screens and Lacan finds Batillon.
05:01We've seen that from France a lot, the offensive sets that they use.
05:04They will keep everyone high, almost a four-high set and work a pick and a roll.
05:09It allows for so much room there in the paint and the lane to get their rollers.
05:16Juhasz could not pour it in, put back no good.
05:20Batillon fights for the ball and there is a foul call.
05:24Batillon becomes the 10th member of France to score.
05:31There's been a handful of those, and obviously Batillon has an opportunity to go to the free throw line,
05:36but some of those instances where they have been right at the front of the cup
05:40and not been able to finish,
05:42there is such a narrow margin for error already against this France team,
05:46in particular the way the score sits,
05:48that those type of opportunities you want to make sure to close out and execute.
05:57Durag Takash Kish takes care of the free throw.
06:01The second one, 63-22.
06:06Leola Khan runs the point.
06:09Drive and kick.
06:11Ayai passed up the three for a better one,
06:13but there's a whistle prior to the shot.
06:29Yeah.
06:31Hard across the face, yeah.
06:43Williams.
06:48Flip to Ayai, penetrates.
06:51Salon in the pocket.
06:52Drills a three.
06:54Second three-pointer for Janelle Salon.
07:00She shot 62% from behind the arc.
07:04At the qualifiers in March,
07:07Juhasz is fed and banks it home.
07:08Good ball movement, forcing some rotations.
07:12There's not been a lot of open looks for Juhasz,
07:14especially that close to the basket.
07:17She's got eight.
07:18Turnover.
07:19Kanyashi.
07:21Solid hands.
07:24France does a good job getting back.
07:25We're in this zone.
07:27Open three.
07:31Cleared by Badian.
07:34Williams, the floor general now.
07:38Lacan on an island.
07:42Race for the ball.
07:43Juhasz and Lacan jump ball.
07:45They don't physically jump it,
07:47so we go to the possession arrow.
07:48And that shot doesn't go through for Lacan,
07:50but once again, France with some ball movement
07:53gets a really clean look from three,
07:54and that's where Hungry gets overloaded
07:57on their defensive side.
07:59Ayai with the penetration that was that previous possession
08:02that Salon nailed the three from the corner.
08:04You had mentioned this in the first half,
08:06just how well, not only in the qualifiers,
08:08but this WNBA season,
08:09she's been shooting for the Golden State Valkyries.
08:12That's a huge part of her game
08:14and how she's able to really balance
08:16and stretch the floor with that size.
08:1840% from three at the WNBA level for Salon.
08:22About two and a half makes per game.
08:25And it really bodes well for how France plays.
08:28Natalina Kasse, assistant coach for the USA squad,
08:32and Golden State shoots the most threes per game in the league.
08:36It's a big part of their play style.
08:39And, of course, going back, I mean, you really look to it,
08:41even in France, and Gabby Williams, we talked about that.
08:44They are all in on what they can do defensively,
08:47how they're able to disrupt, get stops,
08:50show you different coverages and looks,
08:52and a high, high volume of three-point shots.
08:54So, even with that sense of the mentality
08:57of what they've been used to,
08:59the custom of just letting it fly from three,
09:01and for Williams and Salon,
09:06you can see it there,
09:08just how they've been able to be so confident in those looks.
09:11Even the two Liberty on the team,
09:13and Johannes, as well as Astier.
09:16New York fires up a bunch of three-pointers.
09:19France has a total of eight current WNBA players.
09:23Eight players return from their silver medal run
09:27at the 24 Olympics.
09:29And, really, obviously, that's a part of the game.
09:32This game is, Lacan steps in for that mid-range look,
09:35but some of the differences from FIBA to the WNBA,
09:40the WNBA three-point line a little bit further than 22 feet,
09:44this three-point line for FIBA, 20 feet, 8 inches.
09:48Differences in the ball, the grip,
09:50there's an eight-panel Wilson ball in the WNBA.
09:53This is a 12-panel Moten ball.
09:55So, there's some slight differences,
09:57and you imagine for players,
09:59just get used to that switch and adjustment.
10:03Batty on with a rejection.
10:05Mentioned steals, but now three blocks for the French.
10:11Swish, Williams in the triple threat.
10:13Still sitting on 15, fires the mid-range jumper.
10:16Swish, first points for Williams in the second half.
10:23Hungary's problems persist.
10:25One of eight from the field in this third quarter.
10:29Under six minutes to go.
10:32Ayayi absorbs some contact.
10:36Salon, a versatile defender at 6-2.
10:40Hungary comes up empty from deep.
10:46Williams in the schoolyard.
10:48Takes the ball screen.
10:49Sends it.
10:50Ayayi.
10:51Player goes down for Hungary.
10:53Salon off the heel.
10:56And ripped in by Hungary.
10:59Tanyashi.
11:00Having struggles to cross the timeline and does.
11:06Kakash Kish.
11:07Poked and lost it.
11:10France ball.
11:11And a great collapse by France.
11:13And that's why some of these turnovers,
11:14we had pointed to the points off of turnovers
11:17that France created there in the first half.
11:19Sometimes, though, it's not even the live ball ones.
11:21It's these dead ball ones that just allow them extra possessions.
11:27A couple of substitutions in for the French.
11:32The veteran, Johannes, is a two-time medalist at the Olympic level.
11:43Again, France is in search of its first medal at the World Cup
11:47since the inaugural edition in 1953.
11:50That is crazy to think and say out loud
11:53given their progress and success
11:56in the Olympics the last number of years.
12:00Carla late.
12:02Rips in the miss.
12:05Williams in and out.
12:07With that being said, though,
12:09you have to imagine that is at the forefront of their mind.
12:12The type of pride that exists we've gone through this
12:15of players getting to represent their country,
12:18play with their country's names across their chest
12:21and wanting to do what they can
12:24to change some of the trajectory.
12:27France appears in its 12th World Cup today.
12:31Seven straight they've qualified for,
12:33but they haven't reached the semifinals
12:36in their last seven appearances.
12:41Johannes may have gotten a piece.
12:45I think they may have gotten a piece of the arm, too,
12:48to go along with it.
12:54Set it at recess.
12:55Balanced attack by France.
12:58Williams, the leader, with 17 points.
13:00Johannes has 11.
13:01Malanga, 9.
13:02Salon, 8.
13:04And Ayayi, 7.
13:09The deepest installation,
13:11some say, of France.
13:13I would agree with that.
13:17And you could even look at how they're playing
13:19and every time you notice substitution
13:22or someone coming in or off the bench,
13:24it's very evident in the level of experience.
13:28And we keep talking about it.
13:29I think there's two really different mix
13:32of strengths for each of these players,
13:35but at the base of it, the foundation of it
13:38relies on a lot of length, size,
13:42and basketball IQ.
13:45Malanga was fouled.
13:47Hit the deck after the shot at him.
13:54Dominique Malanga returns to the free throw line
13:56where she is 3 of 5.
14:00A couple of swaps for Hungary as well.
14:05Back in the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
14:10You know, the studio crew,
14:12which has been outstanding today,
14:14shout out to Lauren, Tina, and Renee.
14:17They mentioned how they've got to keep the foot on the gas
14:19and not get complacent.
14:21Dominique Malanga said exactly that
14:23going into this tournament.
14:24It's really important.
14:25We have a lot of confidence coming into the tournament
14:27and this competition,
14:28but we don't want to get complacent
14:30because we know there's a lot of work to be done,
14:32and we've worked so hard to reestablish
14:35where we belong in the world ranks.
14:39And that's a part of it
14:41because this is a very compact schedule.
14:43And so for these players,
14:46you know, part of the time
14:47and working to improve it,
14:49especially just through the course of this
14:51World Cup tournament,
14:52is the fact that you're using this game time
14:55still to refine your skill as a team,
14:59your chemistry together.
15:01And so despite the fact they have,
15:02what, do the math better for me,
15:04the 43-point, 44-point lead,
15:08now still is a time
15:10that you are working on things
15:13and you're continuing to try and,
15:15whether it's test different things out,
15:17work on your installs that you've done
15:18through the short amount of time from practice,
15:21but this isn't some long leeway
15:23of having a couple weeks
15:25leading up to what this is.
15:26because this is a short sprint
15:29and they need to use this time now.
15:33Carla Lane knocked in the mouth.
15:39They played on.
15:44Working the post.
15:47Siki Barnoy is held up by Molonga.
15:51Verticality defensively at 6'6".
15:53Johannes toys with the ball screen.
15:56Salon in rhythm 3.
15:59Old board to Ray.
16:02New trip, Johannes.
16:07Turner corrals the miss for Hungary.
16:12Former Cornhusker of Nebraska.
16:16Feed inside to Rook.
16:19Got it back.
16:21Kick it out.
16:22Turner.
16:25Boarded by Salon.
16:27Lead pass for Johannes.
16:31Do we get a magic trick
16:34from Maureen Johannes at some point
16:36in the opening game
16:38for France in Group B?
16:40Salon zips it.
16:42Torre.
16:43Johannes.
16:453-ball.
16:46Cash.
16:50Maybe not a magic trick.
16:52But that's a smooth-looking stroke
16:54with a beautiful pass by Aie
16:56coming from the paint.
16:59Finding her shooter in the corner.
17:00That doesn't hit anything
17:01from the bottom of the net.
17:05Look at our assist of the game
17:06presented by AT&T.
17:08Connection changes everything.
17:09A beautiful one.
17:11We excited the floor.
17:11Gabby Williams
17:13with a cut that she just gets fed
17:16on the move.
17:18Astier tossing her open
17:20right in stride.
17:25We've used the word balance a lot.
17:27By the numbers of France,
17:29you can see it.
17:30To me, there's also just such
17:31great balance on the floor.
17:34The spacing has been really impeccable
17:37through the course of these
17:38first three quarters.
17:40Finding one another.
17:42Moving off the basketball.
17:43Good feel for one another.
17:45Those are the details that, again,
17:47you're continuing to refine here
17:48as you're playing together,
17:49once again, in-game action.
17:51We've seen a lot of passes like that.
17:54And it comes down to great vision,
17:55but also just an understanding
17:57of where your teammates are going to be.
17:59And not only just getting it
18:01to the open teammate,
18:02but on time, on target,
18:04for the ability for really nice finishes.
18:06One of 19 assists today for France.
18:11They've connected on 10 three-pointers.
18:14They made about 11 per game
18:16in the qualifying round,
18:18qualifying tournament,
18:20which they hosted back in March.
18:24Scored 94 points per game.
18:26They are well on their way
18:27to that mark today
18:28in the opening round game
18:30in Group B competition.
18:32South Korea also at 1-0.
18:34Nigeria fell to the South Koreans,
18:3799-81.
18:38Another long ball for Johannes.
18:41Having a blast out there.
18:45We're getting closer
18:46to the grand finale of the Magic Show.
18:50You think we're going to get
18:51an exclamation point
18:53with a dunk?
18:53You're looking for some magic.
18:56At this point,
18:58lead feels pretty safe.
18:59Hungry still battling, though.
19:03And if you're Peter Valdez,
19:06hot hand.
19:07You want to continue
19:09to see your team fight.
19:10I know, again,
19:11this lead has continued
19:12to balloon.
19:13But for Hungry,
19:15can you look at this
19:17in a sense of how
19:18you're still fighting?
19:19Finding some resiliency,
19:21trying to put the pieces together.
19:23The tough part, though,
19:24is that even when they've created
19:26some opportunities
19:26for themselves,
19:27they've had a tough time
19:29finishing around the rim.
19:30Some of those clean open shots
19:31haven't gone through.
19:33And it's seemed to build
19:36each and every quarter.
19:38Johannes might do this herself.
19:40She's 4 of 7 from 3.
19:43Crossover off one foot.
19:48We were waiting on it.
19:50We were waiting on it.
19:53I could just feel
19:54the studio crew.
19:59Kicking.
20:00Wishing that one went down
20:01for the show.
20:04Frantz on the move.
20:05Shot clock off.
20:06A double-team Ture.
20:09Jump ball.
20:10We love to see that effort
20:11by Hungry,
20:12despite the scoreboard.
20:14Exactly.
20:14And it's those type of plays.
20:16How can you blitz?
20:16How can you trap?
20:17How can you turn
20:18this France team over?
20:20Going to have to find
20:21a little bit of a push
20:22in what happens here
20:24in this fourth quarter.
20:25Even just the feeling
20:26that you want to have
20:27in closing out the game.
20:31And while this deficit
20:34feels very large,
20:36that's the last thing
20:37you need to worry about
20:37looking at.
20:38try and just
20:39break it down
20:40into different segments
20:42of where your score
20:44is sitting.
20:45And the horn sounds.
20:47No shot to count
20:49at the end of three.
20:50A 46-point lead
20:52for France.
20:54Making a statement
20:55in their first game.
20:58Back at the FIBA World Cup
21:00in search of a medal.
21:02Since the inaugural edition
21:04in 1953,
21:05this is step one.
21:06And they're putting
21:07on the finishing touches
21:08here on TNT Sports.
21:1146-point lead for France.
21:13Fourth quarter's underway.
21:17Astier hits the ground
21:18after the missed layup.
21:21Brendan Glasheen,
21:23Sarah Kustak,
21:23great to have you with us
21:24for the FIBA
21:25Women's Basketball World Cup
21:26here on TNT Sports.
21:30France has demonstrated
21:32it is a force
21:33to be reckoned with
21:35at the World Cup.
21:39They're making a statement
21:40in a lot of different ways,
21:43but they've built on the lead
21:45that they began with.
21:46And, you know,
21:48offensively,
21:48they are a well-oiled machine.
21:51There is balance.
21:52Everyone's attacking.
21:53There's optionality
21:53in where they're getting
21:54their shots and points from
21:56as you continue to see
21:58a high level of efficiency
21:59from the field.
22:0112 of 28 now
22:03from the three-point line,
22:04but defensively,
22:05this is where they made
22:05their mark,
22:06and they made their mark
22:07early on,
22:07creating 18 hungry turnovers,
22:1027 points off of those.
22:12And it's been a huge part
22:15of what's made
22:15this deficit so significant.
22:17Mariem Badian
22:18becomes the sixth French player
22:21to hit a three-pointer today.
22:25Hungary just countered
22:26with two points.
22:28Johannes and Williams
22:29have combined for 34.
22:31Hungary's got 33 as a team,
22:33and Johannes follows Turner.
22:37They're all good.
22:38They understand the stage.
22:41Hard foul.
22:47Johannes wanted to make sure
22:48this wasn't an and-one opportunity.
22:52strong take by
22:54Yvonne Turner.
22:56Mention had a lot of stops
22:58both in the WNBA,
22:59playing professionally,
23:01internationally.
23:03She's a three-time Big 12
23:05all-defensive team player
23:09collegiately at Nebraska.
23:13Earned defensive player of the year
23:14in one of those seasons.
23:17Johannes did a pretty good job
23:18of getting a lot of ball there, too.
23:20Yeah.
23:20Almost came up
23:21with another steal
23:21for France.
23:22They've got 12 today.
23:27Hungary has 19 turnovers.
23:30France gives this one up.
23:34Turner.
23:35Turn the corner.
23:38No shot.
23:40Hungary in the half court.
23:42Paint touch.
23:44Yudit.
23:45Siki Barnoy puts it home.
23:49That's a deep seal there.
23:50Good entry pass.
23:51And it's not to say
23:52you can look at the score
23:54and think,
23:55my goodness,
23:56this France team
23:57just rolled over.
23:59Hungary has tried to compete.
24:01They have done their best.
24:02France has just been
24:04extraordinarily impressive
24:06in how focused they were,
24:07the attention to detail,
24:09right from jump.
24:10The first couple minutes
24:11it was a big back and forth
24:12as Hungary
24:14tried to be stout
24:15on the defensive side
24:16forcing for misses,
24:17but since then
24:19France has just
24:20been on a roll.
24:22Johannes shook free,
24:23was aiming for
24:24a fifth three-pointer.
24:27Still sitting on the 17 points
24:29to match Williams.
24:34Astier hedges another screen,
24:36some help.
24:37France so well-connected
24:38in their defense,
24:39but Hungary hats off.
24:42Pocadul from distance.
24:4780-40.
24:51Astier of the New York Liberty,
24:53the top rookies,
24:54especially from the international pool
24:58this year in the WNBA.
24:59Johannes tried to find
25:01her Liberty teammate,
25:02but Turner the swipe.
25:08Turner wants to feed it.
25:11Can't get there.
25:12On the roll,
25:14Juhasz works it.
25:18Rat Queen,
25:19no.
25:21Johannes almost had
25:22another steal.
25:24And now France
25:25comes up with it.
25:27They'll blanket you
25:28everywhere.
25:30The deflections,
25:32getting in passing lanes.
25:34Again,
25:34it's just really
25:36impressive
25:37player by player.
25:38And you mentioned it earlier,
25:39just how they work
25:40and cover on a string.
25:43There's not that
25:44split second of thinking.
25:45They continue to be
25:46on the move.
25:50So you see the foul
25:51coming over.
26:02Badian can't get it
26:03to go.
26:05Dorca Juhasz.
26:07Eight points.
26:11Third-year pro with
26:12the Minnesota Lynx.
26:13Turns and scoops it in.
26:14That's a tough bucket.
26:16And a good reversal
26:17to continue to make sure
26:19to find the ball
26:21and get
26:22her a look.
26:25Two more on the other end
26:26for France.
26:27Dorca said she was
26:28super excited for
26:29this particular World Cup.
26:31Not only, of course,
26:32because Hungary's in it
26:33for the first time
26:34in 28 years,
26:35but she grew up
26:36with most of her teammates
26:37on this team
26:38dating back to her
26:39FIBA U18
26:40and U16 days.
26:44They're playing with some edge
26:45despite the score.
26:47Another steal for France.
26:56Johannes has had the ball
26:57in her hands a ton
26:58in this second half.
27:00Gets downhill.
27:01Wrap-around pass.
27:03They touch it.
27:03Touré.
27:06Astier offensive rebound.
27:11Five and a half to go
27:12in the fourth.
27:15Paint touch.
27:17And Ayai
27:19is blanketed,
27:20but there was contact.
27:25Well, there's a handful
27:26of things that you look
27:27at for France.
27:27We've talked a lot
27:28about the ball movement
27:29and how they continue
27:31to just shift
27:32this hungry defense.
27:36And they've also
27:37been to the line
27:38because they've
27:39attacked the basket,
27:40because they've been
27:41around the rim
27:41finding some of those looks.
27:43They have been
27:43at the free-throw line
27:46significantly more
27:47than Hungry.
27:47Hungry does not have
27:51where they at?
27:53Six of eight
27:54from the free-throw line,
27:56whereby you look
27:56at this France team,
27:5813 of 19,
28:00and then creating
28:01those turnovers,
28:02extra possessions
28:03because of it.
28:05Second chance opportunities.
28:06It's really not only
28:07been a level of efficiency,
28:08but a possession game
28:09for France,
28:10which they have just
28:11absolutely dominated.
28:15Here's a look
28:16at what's coming
28:17for the U.S.
28:20women's national team.
28:21Two Eastern on Sunday.
28:23They'll take on Italy.
28:24And then Monday afternoon,
28:26two Eastern against Czechia.
28:29That will,
28:30those two games
28:31will wrap Group D play
28:33for the United States
28:34off a 30-plus-point win
28:37over China
28:38earlier today.
28:39And USA,
28:40they similarly
28:42looked so good
28:43on both ends
28:44of the floor.
28:45Their ability
28:46to create depth,
28:48Carol Austin
28:49was able to use
28:51the entire lineup
28:53and go through
28:53and really being able
28:54to share the minutes.
28:55Malanga up to 14.
28:57We get a timeout.
28:5944-point lead.
29:00Leila Lacan.
29:01There she is
29:02to Dominique Malanga
29:03for two.
29:08Seeing it
29:09at this FIBA World Cup,
29:11all 12 Americans
29:13scored for
29:15USA today.
29:17And Spain
29:17had 11 players contribute.
29:19France, Japan,
29:20Belgium, Italy
29:20all in double digits
29:21as well.
29:22It's impressive.
29:23Obviously,
29:24it speaks to
29:25the level of talent.
29:27I think it also
29:27just speaks to
29:28the play style
29:29of, you know,
29:30for each of these teams
29:31and especially
29:32you look at USA,
29:34the unselfishness,
29:35the understanding
29:35of how to play,
29:37what it's going
29:37to take to win.
29:38And in many cases,
29:40you look at that balance
29:41and you look at
29:41assist numbers
29:42and just the beautiful
29:43style that I think
29:45a lot of these teams
29:45have continued to find.
29:47There is a level
29:48of connectivity
29:48necessary to make
29:50a deep run
29:52at any international level.
29:54deep triple
29:56by Lielke.
30:00Hungary
30:01hit a couple
30:02of threes
30:03in that first half
30:04and they were
30:05slowed down.
30:07They've only made
30:07two since
30:08that first quarter.
30:11Lielke drilled it
30:13from way deep.
30:14Astier gets downhill
30:15and lays it in.
30:19We've loved watching
30:20Pauline Astier
30:21this year
30:21with the New York Liberty.
30:23She's been special
30:24and especially
30:25the early part
30:26of the season
30:26for the New York Liberty
30:27when Sabrina
30:28Yonescu
30:29was out with injury.
30:31Pauline Astier
30:32was asked to do
30:32a lot as a rookie
30:33and just kind of
30:34thrown into the fire
30:35immediately
30:35and she really
30:36showcased an ability
30:37to have a composure,
30:39a poise
30:39that for a player
30:43of her age
30:44and lack of experience
30:45in the WNBA
30:46and I think a lot
30:47of it can be
30:48circled back
30:49to her experience
30:50with the national team
30:51and with France
30:52and how she showcases
30:55an explosiveness
30:55and a quickness,
30:57also tenacity
30:58on the defensive side
30:59which obviously
31:00fits well
31:01into the way
31:01this France team
31:02wants to play.
31:05Astier has played
31:06in 40 games
31:07for New York
