00:00Well another week another major election in Europe this time the Swedish election where of course
00:07you've had this right-wing coalition who have had some success in clamping down on violent crime
00:12achieve net emigration and have massively reduced the number of asylum claims in Sweden. What you
00:20have seen throughout the campaign as I've highlighted here on my channel is the opposition
00:26the left-wing opposition having a lead throughout this campaign all the way through and as recently
00:33as sort of mid-August they had a lead that was so great it was now being talked about as
00:39only a
00:39miracle if the right-wing coalition led by the Prime Minister Ulf Christensen could actually
00:44recover and win and yet since that point you've seen the polls swing in the favour of that right-wing
00:53coalition the governing coalition and you can see just how close it is in the latest poll I believe
00:59that came out before this election today. Now to give you an idea of what the right-wing coalition
01:07is saying here's a quick clip of Ulf Christensen the Conservative Prime Minister and Jimmy Ackerson
01:12leader of the Sweden Democrats.
01:14In the Swedish economy good results in fighting crime good result in decrease in asylum seekers in
01:20Sweden so good results across the board now we can use all these good preconditions to to solve other
01:28problems and to create a really bright future in Sweden. We've accomplished a great deal we became
01:32the largest party in the governing coalition and we secured political results proportionate to our size
01:38and we have finally embarked on the journey to restore safety order and stability to Sweden. Sweden is
01:44becoming safer freer and more Swedish I feel that no matter how things go tomorrow we've already won
01:51because we're the best. So yeah look that's their argument up against the Social Democrats and Magdalena
01:57Anderson we've just seen the exit poll break for this election very dramatic indeed. Right now the level
02:07of cyber attacks across the world including here in England seems to be utterly out of control. There are
02:13likely major incidents that you haven't even really heard about. For instance did you know that criminal
02:19hackers posted the personal data of nearly 9 million people online after breaching three English airports
02:26with customers of those airports being warned of secondary attacks as the data is now available to
02:32other criminals. Now stolen data analysts have actually analysed the published material and confirmed it
02:38contains people's email addresses, phone numbers, license plate numbers, purchasing history and even
02:46browsing device data. Now you can't control how every company chooses to protect its data but you can do
02:54more about your own connection and for most people it doesn't need to be complicated. Today's sponsor
02:58ApexGuard is a Swiss VPN that encrypts your connection and lets one account cover unlimited devices. Right now ApexGuard are
03:07offering three months free giving you time to see whether a VPN would make sense for you in today's
03:14increasingly dangerous online world. See the link below to check out this offer now because what the exit
03:20polls appear to show and of course this has to all be confirmed but what they appear to show is
03:25that
03:25Sweden may soon have a new left-wing government. There have been indications that the turnout has been very
03:34very, very high. Some indications of that
03:37and overall in what it looks to be a much closer election
03:42than it appeared to be just a few weeks ago. It does appear
03:46that between them
03:48if these exit polls are right
03:49the left-wing parties
03:52may have just over
03:5351 percent of the vote
03:56and that then could lead to a new
03:59left-wing government. So let's go through some of the exit poll at numbers. We can see here
04:05on the first one
04:07SVT
04:08that
04:09all three of the biggest parties, so that's the Social Democrats there
04:14in first, the Moderates, that's the Conservatives, the party of Ulf Christensen, the Prime Minister currently
04:19and the Sweden Democrats, all losing support
04:23slightly since the last election. You see the parties below them, the more minor parties
04:30between them, all picking up bits and pieces
04:34of support that could be absolutely crucial. You're basically
04:38seeing that trend in both of these exit polls. So the three major parties
04:44slightly down and the parties, the more minor parties
04:48below them, all gaining support
04:52in this system. But what it could mean in terms of seats
04:56is this, and you can see here
05:00one of the exit polls showing again the Social Democrats, the Moderates, the Conservatives
05:05and the Sweden Democrats all losing seats. The Sweden Democrats would lose the most
05:11if this exit poll data was correct. And it's all the more minor parties again
05:16picking up seats. And where does this ultimately lead?
05:21It leads to a situation
05:23where the left-wing block
05:25between them pick up an additional 10 seats
05:28compared to the last Swedish election. And the right-wing parties, the governing alliance
05:34in Sweden, down 10 seats since the last election, which then could mean defeat for this
05:42right-wing alliance and a new left-wing government in Sweden. Again, that's the initial data that has
05:49come out. Please do let me know though your thoughts on all that in the comments below. I will of
05:54course
05:54keep bringing you all the latest on this and much more. So please do whack this video
05:58a quick thumbs up. And of course, as ever, cheers for watching.
