00:13in Sweden well she now has admitted that right now this alliance that won 176 out of 349 seats
00:21so her party the Social Democrats, the Greens, the Centre Party, the Left Party she's saying right
00:27now they can't form a government because what you have seen is disagreements clearly among some of
00:36these parties and you can see here just how complicated this is the Centre Party is saying
00:41they won't support a government with either the Sweden Democrats on the right or the Left Party
00:48and yeah this could now go on for some time these negotiations which I think is a nonsense by the
00:53way I think if you haven't established a government in a month the new election should automatically
00:58be triggered and that certainly would concentrate minds wouldn't it but what you've seen from the
01:04leader of the Social Democrats Magdalena Andersen she's saying she doesn't feel at this time they
01:09can form a government because the Left Party said they were back a candidate for Parliament speaker
01:14from the Moderate Party which is actually the Conservatives and she's quoted as saying there
01:18of course I take the Left Party's message seriously and based on that and the conversations I have had
01:23I can conclude that there is no possibility for me to form a government and that is because there's
01:31just such a small majority here 176 to 173 was the left-wing alliance victory so right now Magdalena
01:41Anderson having to abandon this bid to become Prime Minister again now what that could mean and is
01:51looking likely is that Ulf Christensen the Conservative Prime Minister of Sweden who was set to leave that
01:59role and has resigned he could now get a crack at seeing if he can put together a coalition and
02:06that
02:06he wants to try and find options among non-socialist parties potentially including the Centre Party
02:15and flipping them from the left-wing bloc to the right-wing alliance but they are opposed
02:21as reported there to the Sweden Democrats being involved in government so yeah pretty dramatic news
