00:13Artificial Intelligence
00:14Over the next decade, artificial intelligence will be powered by our power grids.
00:19Right now, whether you are in the United States or you are operating a grid around the world,
00:24there is a big fear that AI loads simply won't be able to get powered by grids.
00:29Companies that I am helping build are changing that overnight.
00:33Just yesterday, while I was here at Seagre Paris and at the Rethink Power Electricity Forum,
00:40held yesterday in the same location,
00:42we are seeing $150 million in a Series A raise for Emerald AI at a $1.05 billion valuation
00:53simply on the thesis that artificial intelligence can be friendly with and participate with
00:59and be an asset for power grids.
01:01This isn't just a story about grids and AI anymore.
01:04It's a story about how we bring together the two most important evolutions happening for technology and humanity.
01:11artificial intelligence needs to be here to power people, prosperity, learning, medicine, science, security, law,
01:21everything you can think of that we need for prospering societies.
01:24And we need power grids to work.
01:26Bringing them together is the reason I am here at Seagre to talk about Emerald AI,
01:31and also to talk about the work I am doing on power grids around the world, starting in Texas,
01:36to make it easier for AI to power through the grids and help humanity.
01:41Thank you so much for Seagre Paris 2026.
01:54When we are talking about the change what AI brings to utilities and to our operators,
01:58we see a big change going from reactive grids to predictive.
02:03And with AI, I really think our vision would be autonomous grids.
02:07With AI, we are always thinking about JetGPT or GenAI,
02:11but it's actually AI was already part of our systems in the past, machine learning, neural networks.
02:17But what we can do today with AI, with GenAI, we can understand, we can connect the dots,
02:22we can connect the signals to really predict failures, anticipate failures in our grids,
02:29because we are getting a depth knowledge about our assets and about our system.
02:34So the biggest opportunity what I am seeing with AI is really, we can predict the failures,
02:41so this brings a lot of safety, and we can plan maintenance much better,
02:46which will reduce the OPEX costs, and we are getting much more out of our infrastructure
02:50due to the understanding of our assets.
02:53So in the end, we all together with our customers need to bring our people together with AI
03:01and enable the technology of the future to get an autonomous grid.
03:15I would like to share, especially the young people, and especially the women.
03:22It's my experience for so many years, especially in power and energy field.
03:30I know lots of people have different ideas, but I just say very important thing is your focus.
03:39When you want to learn, when you want to make further, maybe innovation,
03:44firstly, you need to focus on your field.
03:48Every time when you're learning, no less than 20 minutes,
03:54maybe longer than two, one hour or half an hour, but don't do anything else.
04:01Just focus on this area.
04:02Even if you have not completed the whole thing, you cannot make it perfect,
04:08but don't think something else.
04:13Just focus on these things.
04:16Then you can make good use of your time.
04:24Don't make your field so wide.
04:29One time, one thing.
04:31One time, another thing.
04:34That would help you a lot.
04:37And not yourself.
04:39Help the whole society, the whole technical field.
04:51The acceleration of the energy transition is a fact.
04:54We see more projects coming up every day, more demands from our customers.
05:00The money is there, the funds are there, the technology is there,
05:04the OEMs are ramping up.
05:05The critical element is really how can we deliver those plans safely and reliably.
05:11We as Lynxon have built up our capabilities to deliver and we execute well
05:17and we deliver according to plans to our customers.
05:20Now the question is how can we scale that capability in order to meet the accelerated demands from our customer
05:27base.
05:28Our response is a system approach.
05:31We have built an integrated system to scale EPC capabilities.
05:36It starts with training people, it continues with giving them AI powered support, execution support
05:44that helps people to take the right decisions during execution
05:48and to provide consistent delivery to our customers every day, every hour and every year.
