Tonight, we'll spend the last evening of the season at a little inn on a Welsh headland, where the rain has just cleared and the old ferry is coming ashore for the winter.

Miriam is the last guest of the year at the Headland Inn. She sits in the warm pools at the foot of the cliff while the rain moves off, then watches the little ferry come up the slipway for the winter. In the hall, the boats are written into the Boat Book, the last guest writes the weather, and old Idris tells a story about a selkie who counts the boats until spring. There's bara brith, a pear from the old dairy, and a room above the net store. Nothing much happens. The west wind drops, and the stars lie still on the cove.

The story and the sleep affirmations last about 35 minutes, and soft music carries on after that for about three hours in all, so you can drift off without touching your phone. At 11 minutes the screen fades to black, so the room stays dark while you sleep.
