00:08Let's welcome a very active National Committee, Spain. Hola!
00:12Hi!
00:13You host the Secret Days in Spain every two years, which gathers more than 400 people.
00:19You also organize more technical conferences.
00:23Can you talk about this event and your full calendar of events?
00:27Yes, we organize a three-day event.
00:31It is very large. It involves all the study committees.
00:35That is, all the technical knowledge domains in SIGRE.
00:43And we also, as you said, organize smaller events like workshops, seminars and that kind of things
00:50that are more focused on specific themes.
00:53The idea is to spread the knowledge of SIGRE that is generated within the working groups.
01:00The working groups are really the engine of SIGRE.
01:03And it's real to create an ecosystem of innovation.
01:08Exactly, yes. As our former president, Drop Stephen, used to say, SIGRE gives you twice what you give.
01:18And it is a perfect ecosystem because the people can access to the learnings and the experiences worldwide.
01:27And they can apply these learnings to their particular cases and then improve them and even look at them at
01:36different angles
01:37and give feedback again to this community. So they will keep on rolling.
01:43Talking about exchange, your national committee is also part of the so-called SIGRE region together with South American and
01:52Portugal.
01:52Tell us more about that.
01:54Yeah, exactly. This is the RIAC, the region of Ibero-American countries.
02:00Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Mexico, also Portugal and Spain.
02:09These are countries with similar interests and concerns.
02:14And we have almost the same language and we enable the people to access to our global community in SIGRE.
02:26Your own involvement starting in 1999 and you've been president of the national committee and member of the steering committee
02:34since 2018.
02:36What were the reasons behind becoming a SIGRE member and accepting this position despite your own professional commitments?
02:45Yeah, but the involvement in SIGRE is also good for the companies.
02:51Yes, I've been for a long time in SIGRE, but it is good for the companies and for the individuals,
02:59both in a professional way and also in a personal way.
03:02So I recommend joining SIGRE.
03:05The message is done. Thank you. Have a great session.
03:09Thank you so much, Alice.
03:10And enjoy. Thank you.
