00:09journalist Katherine Omrod. So we are in the thick of wedding season at the moment and obviously we
00:15are dressed for the occasion. How many weddings do you have this summer? So I've got another three
00:19but I've already had one. Oh my goodness. So and but that's nothing like one year I had 12. You
00:25have 12 friends in general that's that's mind flowed. It was like this crazy crazy summer and
00:31by the end of it I was sleeping in a tent in like the car park because I had no
00:35more money left for
00:36the hotel. I was gonna say like don't you have to like buy your outfits of course you have to
00:40go and
00:40stay where they are wedding gifts engagement presents. I mean it's mad it's mad the amount
00:45of money you know you do all of that and then you don't get to go on your summer holiday
00:49so
00:49you have to really like your friends. You know we do complain about the hassle of spending money
00:54and you know getting there especially when it comes to booking hotels for weddings but you
00:58love going to them. What is it about weddings that you love? I mean you know I can be in

01:03city anywhere and see a wedding happen and it like absolutely touches my heart and I have
01:09like a moment of teariness and I don't even know these people. Are you one of those people like
01:14you know when you're on the bus and you see people taking wedding photos and it's like a tear you
01:17just cry.
01:17A little tear like my boyfriend has a lot like a lot of videos of me at other people's
01:22weddings just like that it's like his pet thing to do. So there's a collection of Catherine tears.
01:29I feel like you can come to my wedding just so at least one person cries. Do you know what
01:33I mean?
01:33Because I thought it should be an emotional time and you are witnessing people bond in love you
01:37know. You know it's an amazing thing to make that commitment to each other to stand up in
01:41front of all your friends and however much we all say it's just a party and of course there is
01:46that. But you know it's a big deal and it's you know pretty hard to get out of as well
01:51so yeah yeah
01:52everyone should celebrate that moment and it is a pure moment I think. I think that when it comes
01:57to hen doos and weddings there's a certain amount of you have to have care for people and you know
02:03their budgets because I got invited to a hen do which are you know politely declined because they
02:08wanted to go to a spa weekend and when I looked at the brochure it looked amazing massages hot stones
02:13you know rooms with steam yeah but it was it was 600 quid per person and I thought wow how
02:20are you going to afford a cake? Well quite I mean it's it's difficult isn't it because obviously you
02:25hope that you're only going to have one so you do want to make it special and I just think
02:30that
02:30really as with all these things it's all about communication and I think keep the the guest list
02:36small for a hen do you know make sure it's real intimate close friends so everyone can have a say
02:42yeah to a certain extent obviously you can't have everyone happy. What song gets you up and
02:48dancing at a wedding? So I love 80s classics but my number one has to be Club Tropicana. Do you

02:55your shoes and dancing in the middle? Yeah drinks are free, fun and sunshine there's enough for everyone. What is

03:02I don't know it's just for that song it's the intro so you know maybe chatting by the bar and
03:08you hear it and you're like dun dun dun dun dun like that you know. And you just wiggle along.

03:22thing that you're all in it together like that's that's what you're looking it's all about the vibe isn't it?
