00:19I am getting hair extensions from Chris Appleton,
00:21who does Kim Kardashian's hair and Ariana Grande's hair and JLo's hair.
00:26He does everyone's hair and then he's doing mine.
00:29So I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair.
00:34Growing up it was kind of like big and flowy and super blonde
00:40and I really identified with having sort of this like wild lion's mane of hair.
00:46And my hair just naturally has gotten really thin over the years.
00:49It doesn't match what I think of myself as.
00:52I'm going out with my friends tonight so that I can show my hair off.

01:00Hey guys, my name is Chris Appleton and I'm a celebrity hairstylist.
01:04Now I'm so excited to be joined today by Sloane
01:07because we're going to be showing you a celebrity inspired look using hair extensions.
01:11You ready?
01:12Very ready.
01:13So the first step is just to blow out your hair.
01:15I did it really quick.
01:17I stretched out Sloane's hair just to take any kinks out, ready for the extensions to go in.
01:24Put in a smaller sized extension in at the root.
01:28Now you want to always make sure there's hair either side to cover the tracks.
01:32Look where the clips are and then tease those two sections.
01:35Especially if the hair is slippy or freshly washed.
01:38I use the Colourwell Court Favourite hair spray just to give it a little bit of grit.
01:45Then what you're going to do is work in sections building weight in about inch to two inch sections
01:51depending on how much hair you have.
02:08I've never gotten hair extensions before.
02:10I've never had long hair.
02:11I want my hair to look a certain way and I just naturally, I can't achieve that look.
02:16I can't get it to grow that long.
02:17I can't get it to be thick.
02:19That's just not a thing that you can get your hair to do if your hair is thin.
02:21I've been wanting hair extensions for so long but I know that they can look kind of like weird.

02:34So the previous extension was slightly more highlighted and this one is more rooted.
02:39So we're going to blend the roots in here at the top and then go for a bit of a
02:42pop of colour towards the end.

02:47I feel like Rapunzel.
02:48Oh, that's a good feeling.
02:51Just a slight diagonal sections, the hair will fall around the face nicely.
02:55If you put it straight, it just kind of falls away from the face.
03:02And then as the hair lays on top, at this point you get a super nice blend.

03:08It truly looks like it's my own hair.
03:10Transforms it, doesn't it?
03:11Yeah, yeah.
03:21The important part of like cutting hair when you have extensions in is to keep the ends super soft.
03:32I think having hair extensions will just give me more confidence.
03:35It'll make me feel kind of more excited and, you know, I want to wear it like a lion's mane.
03:40And be all like, hey, look at me.
03:45This is an amazing texturizing spray just to help give us some really nice hold whilst we style the hair.
04:01It's amazing like what a difference adding the hair can, you know, makes the way you feel.

04:06I think that is what it was.
04:08I had all of this big hair confidence.
