Mi-Anne tries this facial preferred by models that cost $950.
Transcript
00:00Hey guys, it's me Anne, and this is Beauty With Me.
00:02Another day, another facial, am I right?
00:04And actually, I was thinking the other day
00:06that I've been getting facials pretty consistently for Beauty With Me
00:10for over two years.
00:14That's crazy.
00:16Not that I'm complaining.
00:17Last week, I did another one,
00:19one that's loved by many celebrities and tons of Victoria's Secret models.
00:23It makes them look super nice before award shows.
00:26I went to New York Dermatology Group here in New York City.
00:29That rests on Fifth Avenue.
00:31So I got the Model Glow Facial,
00:33which is designed to make your skin look firmer, smoother, all around more radiant.
00:38So without further ado, let's get into it.
00:40The first thing I did when I got to NYDG
00:42was to get into a comfy white robe and wait for my esthetician, Lauren.
00:46We are going to get started with the Model Glow Facial.
00:49I'm so excited. I feel like I'm in a spaceship.
00:51So I'm going to start off with a gentle cleanse.
00:53It's an oatmeal cleanser.
00:56The treatment started like most treatments do with a gentle cleanse,
00:59and then she moved on to microdermabrasion.
01:02The particular microderm that we're using uses suction to clean out pores,
01:06and there are crystals almost acting as if a scrub that you'd use at home.
01:09It's really great for removing dead skin cells,
01:12also great for pigmentation and fine lines.
01:18So I'm going to remove the crystals,
01:20and then we will get started with the radio frequency.
01:23I'm going to put a little bit of cool gel on your skin.
01:25I'm sorry, it is really cold.
01:29Alright, so a little heat here.
01:34Almost like a hot stone massage, right?
01:36Yeah, it's very relaxing.
01:38You will start to see the results immediately,
01:41and then due to the nature of collagen,
01:44it does take a few days for that to kick in as well.
01:46So I'm going to continue to see results for the next few days.
01:49Yeah, and so this will last for about a month or two.
01:56Can something like this then be good not only for like anti-aging,
01:59but for like anyone who has like intense acne scars and that sort of thing?
02:03Oh yeah, it depends on the severity of the acne scar,
02:06but we absolutely can use this device,
02:08and then we also use it for like abdominal tightening,
02:11for tightening around the knees.
02:13Oh wow.
02:14I'm going to remove the gel.
02:16So this is a little bit of Stimulate Serum.
02:20It's got a little glycolic in it,
02:21so you may feel a tingle sensation.
02:23That's totally normal.
02:24And then I will put on the Colbert Empty Brightening Mask.
02:28It's actually a really wonderful blend of essential oils.
02:31There's also a little bit of vitamin C and vitamin A as well.
02:35Okay, so I'm going to place protective shields over your eyes.
02:39So a little bright,
02:40and this is actually a combination of both blue and red LED light.
02:43And so blue is really great for bacteria and acne,
02:47and red is great for calming inflammation, stimulating collagen,
02:51and it'll really boost what we did with the radio frequency.
02:54How are you doing under there?
02:55Good.
02:57Typically this is left on for about 12 minutes.
03:00LED light therapy is really cool.
03:02There have been a lot of studies that have spoken to its ability to speed up healing,
03:06its ability to kill bacteria, boost collagen, with really no downtime.
03:10And this is another one of those technologies that was created by, this one was NASA, right?
03:15NASA, yeah.
03:16Okay, so I'm going to remove the LED light and remove your shields.
03:24Just rubbing in the rest of the mask, and then we'll get started with the cryo.
03:29You're going to feel a little bit of a cool sensation.
03:32Oh, whoa.
03:33And this is liquid nitrogen?
03:35This is liquid nitrogen, so great for refining pore size,
03:38calming inflammation, and also stimulating collagen.
03:41So is it good for injury, like that sort of thing?
03:44Yes.
03:44Yeah, absolutely.
03:45This light is also really great for pain.
03:47It's been proven for like chronic pain, and so that's something you do like every day.
03:51But anything where you're calming inflammation, that's always the fan favorite.
03:54It wasn't painful, but it was just something that I was like, okay, like is it over?
03:59Is it going to be over soon?
04:00Because I want to be warm.
04:01But then I was, and Lauren applied a bit of Colbert's skincare to my face,
04:06and then sent me on my way.
04:07How are you feeling?
04:08I feel great.
04:09I feel so relaxed.
04:10Right after the treatment, I didn't see a huge difference.
04:14But the result, I think, came a few days after.
04:19My skin has been really smooth.
04:22It's been brighter.
04:23My jawline, I think, has been more chiseled.
04:25But let's tackle the elephant in the room, which is the price tag.
04:30This facial costs $950.
04:35Did I think it was a good treatment?
04:36Yes.
04:37Dr. Colbert did share a couple gems with me in terms of maintaining your skin
04:41without dropping ridiculous amounts of money.
04:43Well, there are handheld devices for both LED and mini radio frequency.
04:49And do you find those at-home handheld devices work?
04:51They do.
04:52It's not the same amount of energy, but they do.
04:55I think it's worth doing.
04:56I think it's more about protecting your skin with zinc oxide and something that's non-chemical.
05:02That's the number one most important thing to an audience of people under 30 is just protect your skin and
05:08moisturize it.
05:09You guys have probably heard this a million times, but I'm going to tell it to you again from a
05:14dermatologist.
05:15Wear sunscreen every day, even if it's not sunny outside.
05:18And that's it.
05:19I hope you enjoyed yet another crazy, cool, expensive facial.
05:23Thank you guys so much for watching, and I will catch you guys next week.
05:27Bye!
