00:02We are back with more bestsellers, this time of the drugstore variety, CVS, sent me a definitive
00:08list of their top 10 best-selling makeup items from 2018.
00:13Some of them I've tried before, some of them I've never tried, and I'm going to put them
00:17all to the test on my face today and let you know if they're really worth your hard-earned
00:22coin.

00:25Alright, so first up is primer, and we've got this little one over here, e.l.f. poreless
00:30face primer.
00:31I actually wasn't even aware that CVS stocks e.l.f., but they do.
00:36Just going to apply that all over my face, focusing on the areas that I get oily, and coincidentally
00:42the areas that I get the most oily are also where I have the largest pores, and smoothing
00:46that on rather than rubbing.
00:49But this is nice, it actually feels very lightweight.
00:51So next up is an item that you may not be surprised by, I definitely wasn't.
00:55This is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer.
00:59This was actually the only complexion-perfecting product that was on that list of best sellers,
01:04so no foundation.
01:04This is going to be the only thing that I'm going to use on my face as coverage today.
01:11I have never used this.
01:13Everyone talks about it.
01:14So that is the coverage on, and I gotta say, I'm very impressed with the coverage that
01:21that Maybelline concealer in conjunction with that primer gave me.
01:24My skin looks really perfected.
01:27I'm going to move on to bronzer.
01:29So this is one of the best sellers.
01:31This is the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer.
01:33It is a very nice, buttery, soft, very blendable bronzer.
01:37It smells so strongly of, like, suntan oil.
01:43It is very soft.
01:45If you drop this compact, you will break the bronzer.
01:48I wouldn't say it's the best bronzer for travel, but it is really, really beautiful.
01:53It's very easy to apply without going overboard.
01:58Moving on to highlighter.
01:59So this is the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion.
02:03So this is a highlighting primer, and you can use it as a highlighter on its own.
02:07I'm going to use it as a highlighter today because I already used primer, and I'm just
02:12going to take a bit of it, the back of my hand, ooh, and then tapping it onto my cheekbone.
02:19This is by no means a blinding highlight.
02:23So if you guys are looking for something that's going to really be metallic and intense, this
02:29is not the highlighter for you.
02:31This is a very, very natural look.
02:33If you don't rub it in too much, it does have this, like, very wet dewiness because it's
02:38a liquid.
02:39On the high points of the face, I think it looks really pretty.
02:42So moving on to eyes.
02:43This is the only eye product that wasn't mascara on the bestseller list.
02:49It's the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Pencil.
02:51I chose the blue shade just because, you know, do something a little fun.
02:55Really nice bright blue.
02:57I'm going to do a little cat eye or something.
03:01I'm going to put primer on one eye and then not prime the other eye because this is a Colorstay
03:06liner, so it is supposed to be long wearing.
03:07But I do want to see how it holds up with primer as well.
03:11And I'm going to do that tape thing that people do on Instagram.
03:17I'm going to put some tape on my eye.
03:20This is just like some very, I mean, painter's tape, you can use medical tape.
03:24This is a bit of a harder pencil.
03:26I wouldn't say that it glides on super smoothly, but the color is pretty opaque.
03:30It's very dry, so I find it a little bit difficult to work with, although I really like the color.
03:35All right, I like it.
03:37I think the color is really pretty.
03:38Again, the liner itself is quite dry, so you do kind of have to warm it up to work with
03:45it.
03:45So moving on to mascara.
03:47So this is one of the best sellers.
03:50This is the L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise.
03:52I have the waterproof version because y'all know I only use waterproof.
03:55This is a very good mascara.
03:57I've used it before.
03:58It has a really great fat brush, very, very good for volume.
04:04I'm going to curl my eyelashes and then apply it.
04:08I am going to apply some false eyelashes.
04:12I know I never do that.
04:13It's just one coat will do.
04:17My eyelashes are really sparse and thin, so mascara like these are nice because they do
04:24give me a lot of volume, definition.
04:28Cool.
04:29So one layer on and I'm going to put some eyelashes on.
04:32These are the Ardell Demi Wispies.
04:36Very, very popular eyelashes.
04:38They give you that glam look, but they're not too crazy.
04:41I'm going to lay that onto my eyelid.
04:49I'm going to blend the eyelashes into my natural eyelashes with the mascara again.
04:56These are pretty intense eyelashes.
04:58All right.
04:59So that is one eye done.
05:00I'm going to do this eye next.
05:03Ta-da!
05:04I'm going to move on to eyebrows next.
05:06This is the Wonder 2 Brow Gel.
05:09It's supposed to be kind of a semi-permanent brow color that lasts up to three days.
05:12I have used this before.
05:13I do think it works, but it is kind of annoying to faff around with it because it comes out
05:19with a little brush that you brush on and then a spoolie that you use to kind of comb
05:25through your brows.
05:27I'm going to apply it straight onto my eyebrows.
05:29And you guys know that I have micro-bladed eyebrows, so my eyebrows are already tattooed.
05:35I'm not going to go crazy with the color here.
05:38And I'm going to go ahead and sweep through with this spoolie now.
05:45It has quite good hold.
05:47I will say it's not the cleanest brow product, so we'll see on that one.
05:52Last but not least, lipsticks.
05:54This is the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink.
05:57And this is a ridiculously long-wearing lipstick.
06:00So I am going to go with Groundbreaker, which is a bit of like a bricky, burnt orangey, reddish
06:09shade.
06:11So as per usual, I'm going to kind of blend the edges with my finger just because y'all
06:16know I like that kind of look.
06:20So I'm not going to let my lips go together because this formula, I don't render this, but it's
06:30a little stickier than I render.
06:31Do not press your lips together before this is dry because it will stick.
06:38Not cute.
06:39I love this color with the blue eye.
06:42I almost forgot to set my work.
06:45So the final product is the NYX Dewy Finish Long-Lasting Setting Spray.
06:51Let's give this a go.
06:53I've actually never used this.
06:56Mmm, smells good.
06:58And that is the entire makeup look.
07:01So let me give you my initial thoughts.
07:02Gotta say, I really like it.
07:05I love the combo of the blue and the kind of brick red lip.
07:09Honestly, this concealer looks really good.
07:12I love it like all over the face.
07:14The only thing I'm a little bit on the fence about is eyebrows, but overall, really nice.

07:23Hey guys, I'm back with my baby and oh my gosh, it is 1.13 in the morning.
07:33The makeup obviously has been on my face for a very long time and skin looks really good.
07:39Normally, I would be so oily at this time.
07:41Bronzer has faded some, but it still looks great.
07:43Highlighter is still there.
07:44Lip held up really well.
07:46Haven't reapplied since I reapplied after lunch.
07:48I'm starting to like the eyelashes, I gotta say.
07:51I got a lot of compliments in the eye look, but I will say, wear a primer under the eyeliner.
07:56But yeah, that's it.
