00:00For us we found our people when we met in our 20s and 30s I feel like we were so
00:06lucky that Saturday Night Live was the great unifier for us and when you're
00:10doing what you love and something that is a part of you and you're able to find
00:14people doing that simultaneously that's like a lifelong family. If you find the
00:21right people I have deep friends from when I was your age that I can call and
00:27we will have not spoken for five years and immediately be in a comfortable
00:33level. Pick it up right away so every so often you do need to nurture and see that
00:39person in their eyes and not a FaceTime you need to touch them and really grab
00:43them and hold and make them hard and just give them a good shake and criticize them
00:49and hold them tight and yell at them. Yeah and scare them a little but I think I
00:54think it's important to find people that unconditionally love you just like in
00:59relationships. It's the same thing with friendships. Along with your parents your
01:02work your relationship your children it's it's designating time and whatever
01:07those little efforts are that you can make it a regular way it doesn't mean that
01:10you have to make yourself more pressure but deciding that it's a priority. But
01:15also I think a lot of people have those friendships where you could go for you
01:19know a year without talking to someone and then you pick right back up. So I don't see it as
01:23really like work. I get what you're saying.
01:24What do you mean though? In terms of like doing a trip or something. Yeah. We're actually
01:27blocking out time and prioritizing the time but that friendships are just as
01:31important as this thought and the other. In Hollywood they actually have a
01:35tendency to paint older men as these like sex icons and they always put women in
01:40this mother grandma you know crazy aunt kind of role. How are movies like Wine
01:44Country helping women just break out of that silly old box? Well can I ask you how do
01:49you think it is because unlike us you you've been born into a much different
01:54world and women like you are really inspiring to me because you see the
01:59world you just don't take things as a given as a given exactly right so how do
02:05you and not to put it back on you but how do you think it it it addresses that
02:09because I'd be curious what you think. I personally felt really connected to it
02:12because I have a single mom so seeing your character have that whole you know
02:16divorce situation but still really pushing through it not really vibing
02:21with her work it's very personal connection for me so I love seeing that in
02:25movies because I'm like she's a real ass person. So authenticity is really
02:29important especially for the younger generation they can see through it and
02:33so that's what we try to do is we try to show real complicated people that
02:36make mistakes complex and don't have all the answers and I think women young or
02:41old relate to that. I keep talking about how much I love Paula Pell in the movie
02:45oftentimes you know she's really funny in these roles she'll play like a wacky
02:49neighbor or a teacher or something and she gets to play closest to herself in
02:53this movie that she ever has she plays like gorgeous sexy gay woman confident
02:59woman that's what exists more than you know the wacky lady with like a sideways
03:05bun. Spirit of being here in Napa they say that one gets better with age what are
03:09some things that got better for you ladies with age? You don't care as much as
03:13things about things that used to be like so important to you and you just chill
03:16out a lot it's almost like a lens coming into focus of what's actually
03:21important to you and what you can kind of like put on the back burner. My
03:25relationship with my mother has gotten better with age I feel like the
03:28struggles that I bothered with when I was younger even your age I don't bother
03:31with anymore I just appreciate her now and I empathize tremendously with what it
03:35must have been like for her I love being her friend as she gets older.
