00:16When I think of Valentine's Day, I think cheesy pink everything.
00:20So I'm going to see if James can show me how to work some pink into my makeup without looking
00:24like a Valentine's Day card.

00:27I love pink, I just think that Valentine's Day really like beats you over the head with pink.
00:32There's glitter and hearts everywhere and I just want a wearable pink makeup look.
00:36I want to show you something that uses pink in a matte texture and has a more sophisticated lip liner.
00:42Great, let's do it.
00:43Alright.
00:44So the first thing that I want to do is start with a lip liner.
00:46And this is a pencil that is an eye and lip pencil.
00:50And I'm going to hold it like a pencil.
00:52I'm using the whole tip and I'm just going to sketch it onto your lip.
00:55So I'm starting at the corner of the mouth and just sketching it.
00:58And you don't want to just outline the lip.
01:00We're actually shading it up towards the center of the lip.
01:03With the top lip, I like to start at the bow and then sketch to both corners.
01:08My next step is to sketch into the corners of the mouth so that the center of my lip is
01:13the lightest area.
01:14And that's going to give me a really sexy Valentine's Day pout.
01:18The next step is super simple.
01:20I'm taking a beautiful blue based matte pink and I'm applying it on a small brush right in the center
01:26of the lip.
01:27And just shearing it out to meet my lip line.
01:30And this color is really concentrated.
01:32If you have a sheerer color, you might want to build it up a bit.
01:37So take a look.
01:39Oh my god, it's so bright.
01:41But you know what?
01:41You can't even see that there's a lip liner.
01:43I really like it.
01:44So I'm going to show you a few other tricks that can help make this lip look super wearable.
01:49The first is that I'm taking the same color and I'm going to apply a little onto the cheek.
01:54And so we're creating this momochromatic face that makes bold and bright lips much easier for women who aren't used
02:02to wearing it.
02:03Lastly, I'm going to take a black pencil and I'm just going to go to the outer corner of the
02:07eye and I'm going to create a bit of a graphic line.
02:10And it just will give you an exciting finish to this lip look.
02:14It's a beautifully polished look that makes a bold lip much easier to wear.
02:18And this is exactly what I was looking for.
02:20It's not cheesy.
02:21It feels really wearable.
