00:00Boy, I'll tell you last night, man, what a statement was made last night by the Chicago Bears.
00:05One of the most difficult places to play is in Seattle.
00:08And they went in there and they just took the whooping stick out and they beat that Seahawks team up.
00:15And Jeffrey Simmons was just an absolute force last night.
00:19That football team right now looks like the very best team in the NFC.
00:24And if they can keep getting better and better and Caleb could keep getting better and better,
00:28this football team was going to be a force, like I said, in the NFC.
00:32You're going to be looking at a team that could potentially, in the year that Mike Ditka dies,
00:37go to the Super Bowl and maybe win it.
00:40Caleb knows the Bears are a force.
00:43That's who we want to be known as when we come in that we're also a force to be reckoned
00:49with.
00:49I mean, that's a, I mean, they just won a Super Bowl last year.
00:52They got a bunch of guys back.
00:54That's a worthy opponent on all sides of the ball.
00:58All offense, defense, special teams.
00:59They got all pro guys.
01:01They got, you know, a bunch of talent over there.
01:04They got the scheme.
01:05And so we knew it was going to be a challenge.
01:07We knew it was going to be a dogfight.
01:09We knew that our identity, you know, had to show up for us.
01:13And, you know, I think it did today.
01:16No question about it here, man.
01:18Think about this.
01:19A year ago, you're talking about a quarterback that had a completion percentage of 55%.
01:24He's now up near 70.
01:26And you're talking about a guy who's getting better and better.
01:29And there's only one reason.
01:31I think the guy, Ben Johnson, has just done a remarkable job in changing the culture there in Chicago.
01:37And when you could take your football team and go to Seattle and win like that, that's a special win,
01:44man.
01:45I thought these guys did a great job.
01:47We talked all week about what type of game we thought this would be.
01:50A tremendous amount of respect for that opponent.
01:53I think that's a really good football team that we just played.
01:57That defense was number one in a lot of categories.
02:00That special teams unit is top five.
02:03They were number one a year ago.
02:04I think they were number two right now this year.
02:06I mean, I think, you know, and their offense can score in bunches also.
02:10You know, they've got a lot of dynamic weapons on that side of the ball.
02:13And so to see us go out there and play a physical brand of football, we thought that was going
02:18to be important for us.
02:20That showed up in that first drive.
02:22I thought, you know, I thought our guys came out with their hair on fire.
02:26And I thought it carried over for 60 minutes.
02:29There were some ebbs and some flows throughout that game.
02:31And yet, it felt like we responded really well as a team and rallied together.
02:36So that was exciting to see.
02:38You know, these guys, you guys earned this victory and couldn't be more proud of them.
02:43Take a look at what a victory like that does to your odds on winning the Super Bowl.
02:49I mean, you go into a place like that and all of a sudden now, you're right there with the
02:5549ers and the Bills as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
02:58That's incredible. And a move like Jeffrey Simmons, constantly getting better and also getting a guy like Caleb Williams.
03:06There is no doubt that your football team right now is playing great ball.
03:10Will they be able to keep it up? We'll be the big one now.
03:13All right. On the other side.
03:14Hey, look, I don't know if this guy was talking about hopscotch or if he was talking about horseshoes here.
03:20But Mike McDonald, the head football coach of the Seahawks, said they won fair and square.
03:25Hey, thanks, coach.
03:27I think it's the tip of the cap to the Bears.
03:30They won the game.
03:32They won it fair and square.
03:33They won it in all three phases.
03:36And then we just got beat.
03:39Fair and square?
03:40Is that like darts?
03:41No other way to sugarcoat it.
03:42I think when you look at the things that it takes to win.
03:45They kicked your ass last night.
03:46We didn't do those things, and they did.
03:47They kicked your ass.
03:49That was an absolute ass-kicking last night.
03:52That's what we intend to do, get back to work and attack the heck out of it.
03:55So we got a short week.
03:56This is the first of, I think, maybe four or five throughout the season.
03:59So it's really important that we get our bodies back and get our minds ready to go on Wednesday.
04:04So, again, credit to the Bears.
04:07You know, look at all the stats, things that happened in terms of playing complimentary football.
04:13You know, we can rattle them off if you want.
04:15But they made it happen, and we didn't.
04:17So it's a team effort.
04:19We lost as a team.
04:20I think in all three phases, we can have better plans.
04:23We can coach it better.
04:23We can prepare our players better.
04:24And we can play better.
04:28But we'll go back to work, go attack the heck out of it.
04:30The margins in our league is too small.
04:35And when you don't do the things that it takes to win, that's how a game like that shapes up.
04:42Coach, you got your butt kicked.
04:43Tried jumping in on you a couple times there.
04:45But, hey, dude, got your butts kicked last night.
04:49Up and down the football field.
04:50Sam Darnold, is he seeing ghosts again?
04:57Guys, it was, you know, just offensively, couldn't really, I feel like we couldn't get anything going.
05:03You know, we had a couple of good drives.
05:05I feel like early on, third down where Jax was there, but I should have got it to him early.
05:12So, yeah, you know, again, credit to those guys.
05:15You know, they had a good plan and, you know, executed at a high level.
05:19But, again, there's a lot of things that we can do better and need to do better if you're looking
05:22forward.
05:23What's number one on your list of that?
05:26I mean, we've got to look at the tape again.
05:29You know, it is.
05:31You know, I always think it starts first and second down efficiency.
05:35You know, obviously, third down, red zone.
05:37Red zone definitely needs to be better.
05:39But, yeah, if we can just continue to be more efficient on first and second down, you know, all those
05:45other things, I always feel like falling to mind.
