00:00Listen, the last team that just ponied up big for a 31-year-old superstar,
00:04Giannis Antetokounmpo, who by all objective measures is a better player
00:07than Anthony Davis, where the heat right now, I know.
00:10They're 2-5, they can't guard anybody, and Giannis can't raise everybody up
00:15in the way that he used to.
00:16It's just a fact.
00:17My point being is that I don't know that you're going to get that kind of
00:20godfather offer that Indiana and Oklahoma City ended up getting for Paul George.
00:26I don't think you're going to see something like that for Anthony Davis.
00:29With all that said, a team like Golden State right now, who all of a sudden
00:33is better than they look and is going to get Jimmy Butler back
00:36and has at least halfway there with a contract of Kristaps Porzingis,
00:42which would just be the way to get off a contract, which wouldn't be bad
00:45for the Wizards.
00:46Like, you can kind of, if you do enough math there and Wizard willing to swallow
00:50Moses Moody and there's a couple picks involved, maybe that's the deal
00:54and maybe that's the suitor to be able to just say, hey, you know what,
00:57we're going to forget about players.
00:59All we gave up for Davis was really picks.
01:01We're just going to collect some picks that are better picks than what we
01:05originally gave off because if we take them enough in the future,
01:08we're going to get post-Steph Curry Golden State picks,
01:10which is what you would want.
01:12So off the top of my head, there was a lot of rumors in the offseason
01:15about Davis and the Warriors.
01:17And for what the Wizards were asking, the Warriors were clearly not interested.
01:21But I think that, you know, the Warriors have played well enough right now
01:25and Lendeborg looks good enough and Butler could be back by January or February
01:30where maybe as you get into the deadline, they play well enough that they do want
01:34to put their chips to the middle of the table.
