00:04And a high pressure is just pushing through at the moment, meaning particularly England and Wales, it's largely settled at
00:10the moment.
00:10Just on the edge of the high, it's still rather breezy across northern parts of Scotland in particular.
00:16But all eyes on the Atlantic as this area of low pressure slowly starts to move into night and through
00:22into Sunday,
00:23and eventually bringing some wetter and windier weather into Monday, particularly across the north of the UK.
00:28Bands of showers pushing through.
00:31So let's look at the details for Saturday afternoon.
00:34Plenty of sunny spells breaking through the cloud across central southern parts of England and Wales.
00:40Perhaps a little cloudier across northern England with one or two light showers, similar across northern Ireland and parts of
00:46Scotland too,
00:47but remaining quite breezy across northern Scotland.
00:50Now the wind's slowly easing, particularly as we move through to the latter part of the day.
00:55In the sunny spells, feeling fairly pleasant, particularly in the south.
00:59Temperatures around average, if not slightly above, 22, 23 Celsius.
01:03Further north around 18 to 20 degrees, so around average for the time of year.
01:07Just perhaps still feeling rather chilly across northern Scotland with that westerly breeze.
01:12As we head through into the evening, dry initially for most, but cloud thickening across western areas as that low
01:17pressure starts to move in from the Atlantic.
01:20Some showery outbreaks of rain pushing in across western parts of England, Wales, Northern Ireland.
01:24Some heavier rain across northwest Scotland.
01:27The breeze starting to pick up too.
01:29Central and eastern parts of England in particular should stay dry with some clear spells.
01:34One or two mist and fog patches.
01:36And with the winds coming up from the south, it will be a fairly mild night for everyone.
01:41Temperatures remaining in double figures.
01:43So a cloudy start in the west on Sunday morning.
01:46Showery outbreaks of rain quickly pushing north and eastward.
01:49Some uncertainty with the extent of this rain across central areas as we move through the morning.
01:54But it should push towards the North Sea coast as we move towards the afternoon.
01:59Plenty of sunny spells following across England and Wales.
02:02But with low pressure towards the northwest, staying quite showery across northern Ireland.
02:07Some longer spells of rain possible into northern and western Scotland.
02:10Quite gusty winds here too.
02:12But with the winds coming in from the south, we're going to draw in some quite warm air from the
02:16near continent.
02:17So temperatures in the sunshine across England and Wales.
02:20The mid-twenties locally.
02:2127 to 28 Celsius across southeast England.
02:25A little cooler across the northwest of the UK.
02:28Here temperatures Northern Ireland, Scotland.
02:30High teens to low twenties.
02:33Into the evening time.
02:34This band of rain across the northwest will slowly push south and eastwards.
02:37But breaking up into showers as it moves into England and Wales during the latter part of the evening and
02:44overnight.
02:45Blustery weather following on behind.
02:48So into next week.
02:49It's going to feel quite autumnal at times.
02:52Particularly across the north of the UK.
02:53Temperatures slowly start trending back down to average.
02:57It'll be windy at times, particularly across Scotland.
02:59But there'll be some dry weather and it will feel fairly pleasant.
