04:55Tonight, we're jumping into some conversations about various items around the world of WWE.

04:59Starting with WWE, the big lead story, the WWE creative now has absolutely no expectations for The Rock to be

05:07in any way involved with WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.

05:11Now, here's the thing.

05:12When they go to Riyadh, the Saudis have a lot of expectations.

05:15We know that the first show they ever did, they wanted Yokozuna and The Ultimate Warrior, despite the fact that

05:19they had both been deceased for a significant amount of time.

05:22This time, they want The Rock.

05:24It's been made clear months ago that the Saudis were willing to pay almost anything to get The Rock to

05:29WrestleMania.

05:30They were talking about a Rock-Roman Reigns match, the one that we've theorized for a very long time.

05:34But a little while later, Dave Meltzer was reporting that there was no way that was going to happen.

05:38The Rock has a crazy filming schedule next year.

05:41He doesn't see it being in the cards.

05:42He did mention back then that there was a chance The Rock could do a fly-in, do an appearance

05:47and fly out, but not really get physical at all.

05:49I think that would kind of defeat the purpose of having him.

05:51Now, if it'll help get the show over, I'm all on board for doing that.

05:54But I don't know that we're going to get to see The Rock at all this year, which is kind

05:58of frustrating.

05:58Because they're going to want to put on the biggest show possible because of their media rights deals with the

06:03Saudis in terms of WrestleMania.

06:04They had the Royal Rumble there, Crown Jewel this year, things like that.

06:08So, again, going to have to wait and see how this plays out over time.

06:11But WWE, it sounds like, is not expecting The Rock to be a part of any of that.

06:16So they better stack this card with a lot of really wonderful first-time or dream matches.

06:20And I think they're kind of strategically placing those pieces already.

06:23We heard Nick Khan doing an interview last week where he kind of validated that, that they're already well into

06:28the planning stages for WrestleMania 43.

06:30So I guess we'll have to wait and see what they've decided is interesting enough to be the headlining opportunities

06:36at that show.

06:37Hopefully, we get more than six shows a night this year, like we did last year.

06:41A mild update on Kehlani Jordan.

06:43Some people were shocked that after weeks of vignettes airing for Lola Vice and her making her debut in the

06:50Women's Money in the Bank ladder match qualifier,

06:52that we also got a main roster debut of Kehlani Jordan, the current NXT Women's Champion.

06:57Now, I've got to be honest, it actually, I was thrilled to see her, don't get me wrong,

07:01but it also kind of frustrates me because, and I've talked about this in previous episodes,

07:05it's like they pick and choose when rules apply.

07:09If Kehlani Jordan was coming to the main roster, why didn't she have to forfeit the NXT Women's Championship?

07:14That's what Oba had to do.

07:15That's what Indi Hartwell had to do.

07:17But then you go earlier than that, Becky Lynch didn't have to.

07:20Other people haven't had to.

07:22So it's like they pick and choose when these rules apply, when people have to vacate and not vacate,

07:26and they act like we're so stupid that we can't remember that they handled things very differently in other times.

07:32And that's frustrating.

07:33It really is.

07:33There's no continuity, no consistency across the programming.

07:36In this case, though, Lola Vice is a legit right now call-up.

07:40She is on the main roster.

07:42There is no question.

07:43However, Kehlani Jordan, some clarity was given today that she is not necessarily a call-up right now.

07:49This is a way to get her in front of mainstream viewers' eyes because they do plan to bring her

07:54up, but not yet.

07:55They're planning on bringing her to the main roster towards the end of the year.

07:58Now, it could coincide with the John Cena Classic because there is conversation about how that show is basically going

08:03to be a showcase opportunity for main roster stars and NXT stars to mix it up.

08:07And I think that's a great idea.

08:09However, you also have to ask yourself, this is also right before you get to Rumble season.

08:13Do they bring her to the main roster at the Rumble and make that be her formal call-up and

08:17have her have a great showing at the Rumble?

08:19I don't know.

08:20I don't think it really matters one way or the other.

08:22I thought she got a great response from the fans because she was a genuine surprise.

08:26Nobody expected her to see her there.

08:27And she came out.

08:28She did some great moves.

08:30She really, her and Lola Vice have really great chemistry.

08:33And it really made it feel organic.

08:35It made it feel just, it was a really good vibe.

08:37I'm just being honest.

08:38It really was.

08:39So, again, not a formal call-up yet, but definitely one coming very soon.

08:43So, we'll have to wait and see how things play out over the next several months and see when they

08:46actually call her up.

08:48Roxanne Perez in the news.

08:50For those who don't know, the person who has been her biggest inspiration in her wrestling career, the person she

08:55refers to as her wrestling mom, is AJ Lee.

08:58And she was doing an interview with Muscle Man Malcolm.

09:01And she made it very clear that she would love to have a dream match with AJ Lee.

09:06But she went further, so as to say, that she would like to be AJ Lee's last opponent.

09:10She wants to retire AJ Lee.

09:13Talk about a level of respect.

09:14And I think some people, when they hear, oh, I want to retire somebody, in many different sporting events and

09:20ventures, you can see that.

09:22I'm going to put this guy down, like boxing or mixed martial arts.

09:25You know, I'm going to retire somebody.

09:26It comes off as a bad thing.

09:27In wrestling, because of the way it is a predetermined, highly athletic display, when you want to retire somebody, more

09:35often than not, it's out of respect.

09:36She wants to privilege the honor of being her last opponent because of her fandom for her.

09:40I think it's actually a really interesting and intriguing way to handle things.

09:43And I hope she actually gets the opportunity to share the ring with her, especially because she's meant so much

09:47to her throughout her life.

09:49We'll have to wait and see.

09:49I know that there were plans for AJ Lee to team with Paige to go against the Bellas.

09:54That fell through because of the injury to Bree.

09:56I'm sure they talked recently about Bree's getting close to returning.

09:59So maybe if that happens, we still get that.

10:02I think that would probably be closer to the Survivor Series, if not later.

10:06But at some point, getting Roxanne Perez in the ring with AJ Lee might be very much a reality, especially

10:12if Roxanne goes down to AAA, like she's doing next week at Worlds Collide,

10:17and somehow walks out as the AAA Reign of the Reigness champion, she would have to have some kind of

10:23challengers to really pop the crowd,

10:24especially since they're trying to get a meteorites television deal for the NXT show.

10:28And going with AJ Lee could be that exact thing.

10:31So again, we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.

10:34But it sounds very exciting.

10:36I think it would be a great match.

10:38You know, Roxanne is one of the most naturally gifted wrestlers in the world.

10:42AJ Lee, no matter how long she was gone, came back and jumped right back into it like she never

10:46missed a day.

10:46Hey, this could be a phenomenal match, could steal the show, whatever show they're on.

10:50And I can't wait to see something like that if they do decide to pull the trigger on it.

10:54And the last thing for tonight, we reported on a previous episode that NXT, it was announced by Robert Stone,

10:58that the Dusty Classic was coming back tag team tournament, and there were going to be 14 teams competing in

11:04this tournament.

11:04And that right away made you wonder, like, how do we get to 14 teams that's not an even bracket?

11:09Well, it's been updated, and Robert Stone has lended some clarity to how that works.

11:13First off, the Wagner brothers, they just won the AAA World Tag Team Championship at TripleMania,

11:20defeating the War Raiders.

11:22They will be getting a first-round buy because they are champions of their respective company.

11:26At the same time, the Vanity Project, the current NXT Tag Team Champions,

11:30will also be getting a buy in the first round, which leaves the other 12 teams to fill out the

11:36rest of the roster.

11:36This will probably bracket out much like they did at WrestleMania 4 when they had the World Championship tournament.

11:42These two people get a buy, go into the second round, do what they got to do.

11:46And when you have 14 like this and you bracket it like that, it's really like having 16, all right,

11:51with the buys.

11:51So the only thing I'm confused about is they had said originally that there were going to be tag teams

11:57from Raw, SmackDown, Evolve, AAA, NXT.

11:59If you're going to do all that, but you're going to give buys to the Wagner brothers and the Vanity

12:05Project

12:05because they're tag team champions in AAA and in NXT, does that mean that the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions

12:12are not competing?

12:13So we're not going to see Braun Breaker and Austin Theory?

12:16Are we not going to see the WWE Tag Team Champions over on SmackDown?

12:21We're not going to see the MFTs?

12:24I mean, it's interesting to me.

12:26I don't know.

12:26Did I just say the MFTs?

12:28I really did, didn't I?

12:30Okay, well, whatever.

12:31It is what it is.

12:33But I think if you're going to have stars from all the brands, you need to make sure all the

12:39tag team champions are there,

12:40which then means less teams getting in because then you have to bracket out or nobody gets a buy.

12:43I'd be in favor of no buys, by the way.

12:45You just seed it differently.

12:46You put the tag team champions in the four corners of the tournament,

12:49and you have them go against the lowest ranked teams, just like college basketball.

12:52And I think it will work out just fine.

12:54I'm excited to see the tournament.

12:56I'm glad to see them bringing it back.

12:57It should be really, really cool.

12:59But right now, the only other team announced for the tournament is the Creed Brothers,

13:03who technically are being considered as NXT talents because Robert Stone announced that he had re-signed them back to

13:10the NXT brand

13:11and that they were going to be a part of this show.

13:12So it sends kind of a mixed, weird message about the whole thing.

13:16Either way, it should be a great tournament.

13:17I can't wait to see it.

13:18I hope you're looking forward to seeing it as much as I am.
