00:25not the side of the football that he doesn't play on so from their standpoint the offense has put up
00:3230 point 31 points a game um you know 31 points in each of the first two games so have
00:37they had
00:38their issues in offense absolutely we've talked about them and we've talked about them today a
00:42little bit um and the offense can be better and it's two weeks in a row now that they've left

00:48out in the field that they feel okay well try to get right and it's like if you can have
00:54a blend of
00:54the first two games you've got an amazing offensive team you got a team that can run for for days

01:01with gibbs and then you've got an efficient quarterback through for 327 yards and four
01:06touchdowns while taking care of the football as well no interceptions um it's a high-powered
01:12offense that even though it's 31 points a game for the first two weeks it does feel like they're still
01:17not on track yet and that they will get there um and hopefully this week is going to be a
01:23different
01:23look because you've got blake miller back at right tackle more than likely hopefully the the rest of
01:29the offensive line is kind of stabilized a little bit and if that's the case then i feel like going
01:34forward this is going to look pretty good okay so the when the curtain comes up on the season you
01:38start to learn about not only your own team but other teams uh and and you know the you pull
01:43in all
01:43these data points and you're like okay maybe this this is what our struggle is going to be and this
01:48is
01:48where other teams are going to struggle and uh you start to shape things up vegas reacts right now

01:56who's favored in the nfc north in the north yep probably the lions can you think the lions are
02:04favored to win the nfc north right now in vegas uh i gotta be between the lions and vikings just
02:12because
02:12they're two and oh i will say the lions get this slight edge that's exactly what they've got a
02:17slight edge over the vikings the vikings are two to one the lions are nine to five so just a
02:23hair
02:23better than two to one green bay is 19 to five so just a hair better than four to one
02:30the bears are
02:31five to one well the injury to caleb williams is going to have people thinking that i actually think
02:36look the bears offense is best run with caleb william yep i think that they have a decent
02:43quarterback in bajant as well um we'll see how he does with this offense probably at least for the
02:49next week they're saying oh it's a week to week thing i have a hard time believing it's a week

02:52week thing based on his reaction on the field um but i think these might just be some head games
02:58that ben johnson is playing but i think he's gonna be out this week so we'll see what bajant does

03:04week and if he can leave that offense or not but i do like the lions chances in this division

03:42more about other teams tyler shuck has gone from 100 to 1 to win nfl mvp to 33 to 1
03:51uh his opinions are shaped about him and that that opening game win it was one you'd prefer to have
04:00like just closed it out when they were up 21 nothing and uh you thought they were just going to
04:04roll the saints um but they they got that win and they got it over shuck and that looks a
04:10lot better
04:11after they go to baltimore and win aiden hutchinson is now the favorite in vegas to win nfl defensive
04:18player of the year at five to one uh it was will anderson who is just a hair under six
04:24to one at
04:24this point so uh he's 11 to two so bottom line is you know things are starting to change here

04:31bit and um you know i mean i feel like that buffalo game has been interpreted by many fans as
04:40completely
04:41disqualifying now for the lions they can't accomplish anything because of what happened at buffalo
04:47and you know we're we try to react appropriately to it it is just one game it wasn't great
04:53defensively let's face it dan campbell seems adamant that the problems are fixable and he was very
05:01effusive in his support of calvin shepherd not only yesterday but today so you know do they have that's
05:08why we say go back to the lab do they have the answers in house to at least be better

05:13been man this is never going to be a great defense but can can it be a speed bump well

05:20the best news out of all this with the first two games of the season is that that first loss

05:25season against buffalo it's over with right on to week three it's not week 13 week 14 week 15 where
05:33this could linger in your head like oh my god what happened there forget it it's gone all right you
05:37lost to buffalo get over it now you you've got aaron glenn coming to town and the jets look like
05:43they're they're very improved over what they were a year ago um you know still should be a game that
05:49you win uh favored by nearly a touchdown at this point but it's it's not going to be easy no

05:56in the nfl are typically easy but i think the easy thing for the blinds to do is to move
06:01past what
06:01happened in buffalo and that i doubt that they reference it very much longer because it should
06:07be in the rear view if it's not in the rear view doug then it's a real problem yep so

06:13be done this week jets look a little bit better than than we thought they would be so that might

06:19bigger challenge i have a sneaking suspicion call it a hunch i think the lions are gonna roll sunday

06:45like the response i like the fact that hutch couldn't come on yesterday yeah because they were
06:50in meetings yeah i like the fact that dan campbell kept saying over and over this morning that he
06:58wants live full speed reps because remember last week hutch said we're not doing much practice this
07:04week it's a lot of walkthroughs and stuff on the field because it's a short week yeah and they focused
07:09on recovery this feels like a little bit maybe it was like sean mcveigh's quick trip to australian back
07:17maybe that wasn't the best approach right right yeah i hope that's the case um and i i tend to

07:25with you i think this team is is poised to just roll up a big win on on on sunday

07:32it's double digits and it's never even in doubt i think that it was also telling that dan campbell
07:37was trying to hammer home got to stop the run and breeze hall is a really good running back if

07:42able to limit the running game for the jets everything else can fall into place okay make make that
07:49quarterback geno smith make him beat you now he's beaten the lions in the past with other teams
07:53uh but i feel like it that jets offense isn't an explosive one at all and this could be a
