00:50scorpio on the facebook marketplace papa the toyman finally had her and now i can finally complete as
00:55well not just looking at roomie but also completing the team of huntrix on my shelf well it's actually
01:00going to be more going to my daughter's shelf before we get a closer look at roomie and combine her

01:05the rest of the team members we're going to also take the tape measure and see how tall the figure
01:08is going to stand you may notice by the way right away that i've got her on the display stand
01:12these
01:13figures seem to have some difficult time when it comes to actually having them standing on their own
01:17i've noticed also with mira mira seems to already have looseness in her knees which is kind of
01:23disappointing considering that the figures really haven't been out of the packaging all that long
01:26for again how tall roomie is going to be you're looking at her at well exactly six inches in height
01:32or about 15 and a half centimeters tall we now have a completed band here's what roomie looks like
01:37along with zoe and mira here's what i was saying by the way with mira uh look at her knees
01:42i think a lot of it too is just the fact that these characters really are lean in their limbs
01:47anyways but just with how small these knees even the fact that the knees are actually double hinges
01:51hasn't really helped the fact that yeah mira's already starting to lean on her display stand of
01:56course already standing on hers mirror does come in clue with a pink display stand it isn't really so
02:01much the fact that these figures can't stand really on their own getting them out of the packaging
02:05maybe roomie might have a harder time just because she's got the longer braided hair on the back of her
02:09body she stands fine but over time that you'll notice these knees especially will be the one
02:14thing that starts to develop looseness on the figures the stands wise though they are exactly
02:19the same stands as both the other two figures that we've already had a look at zoe's just happened
02:23to be kind of an off teal color and mirrors who definitely does need hers kind of was more of
02:28a
02:28lighter pink color roomie's just happens to be a little bit more darker again when it comes to
02:33attaching the figures on the display stands see like the pegs aren't really right right in the middle
02:38like if they were to be in the middle they would probably run around this line here but because
02:42they go further back like this when you go to put the figure on the display stand their holes are
02:48actually on the front of their feet not on the backs of their heels so you don't really want to
02:51put them this way because they would only just be leaning off the edge you kind of really want to
02:55have these pegs facing this way so when you do attach them onto display stands like this
03:01they'll sort of now be more front and center
03:05now just again look at the knees here on roomie again it's one of those cases i mentioned this
03:10before with night before christmas jack skellington he's a character too just by his nature is really
03:14thin in legs it's a hard thing then to recreate this in plastic because then you're already asking
03:20for very small joints and with these joints especially i've just noticed maybe roomies aren't
03:25as bad as mirrors but i wonder though over time if that's going to develop even more looseness
03:29really hope that's not going to be the case for the accessories though that come include with roomie
03:34first she does have her sword i really like the look of this sword a lot and this seems like

03:39trend that's continued with all these k-pop demon hunter figures you'll notice though when it comes to
03:43these the plastic that they're choosing mattel that is by the way the plastic seems to have like a
03:48glistening color to them that they look almost from a distance like they're kind of more of a
03:53purplish gray but yet when light shines across it see how that plastic changes colors
04:00i think that's really cool
04:03now we're obviously not going to spend we're not going to spend the entire review for me just
04:07flickering light off the plastic of the blade the blade itself the four tiger uh was it the four
04:13tiger sword uh actually is uh it's a pretty cool looking sword now there isn't really necessarily a
04:19place to store the sword i think it's also called a sanggian you guys can let me know down below

04:24comment section if that isn't the correct way of pronounciating it but the actual blade though of
04:29the sword looks really cool too my guess obviously would be the fact that they would have just molded
04:33all the blade in plastic and also the handle as well and just gone and painted in the hilt in
04:37gold
04:38it does look good though it can be held in her hand with the benefit of this figure already coming
04:43out of the plastic with gripping hands no problems whatsoever why let me let me rephrase that
04:48there's no problem at all with her technically holding the sword but with the plastic being really
04:53soft in the fingers you may want to even just kind of bring the guard down just a little bit
04:59yeah like roomie holds the sword okay but i find with the fingers being so soft like this this
05:04sanggian sword just seems like it sits a little loose in her finger grip so you want to just be
05:11aware of that now you could also swap them the hands out with other hands as well she already has
05:16a
05:16gripping hand on the ends of her forearms but like with the other previous figures that we've already
05:19had a look at roomie does also have a wider gripped hand now there's a reason for that hand being
05:25this
05:25way and she does also come include the hand that is there for holding chopsticks which the chopsticks
05:30though being soft very very soft in plastic at least though they're already molded to the fingers
05:35one trade-off unfortunately though with molding them to the fingers is some of the paint as you can
05:40see has kind of found its way onto the fingers but i mean that's a small bit of detail i
05:44can't really
05:45nickel and dime and complain the fact that the paint's gone onto the fingers when just i'm more
05:49appreciative of the fact that mattel actually has the hands with the with the with the chopsticks
05:53already attached onto them if you didn't want to swap out the hands by the way just going to remove
05:58the sword for right now wiggle the hand first now these hands are actually on hinge joints see how
06:03they move back and forth we're going to just kind of wiggle them a little bit here just to pop

06:07off now the hand that has the chopsticks goes on this side you could argue me as well as much
06:13as you
06:13really want but it can't really go that way because the thumb's facing the other way
06:18take the hand wiggle it back until it goes inside the slot there we go now with this hand it's
06:25interesting because you could technically also have her because she comes include with the ramen cup
06:30both the other two figures have had that as well hers just happened to also say
06:34i just turn this around so you guys can see there you go it says roomies
06:41uh she does by the way i guess before we also swap with the hand she also comes include with
06:44her
06:44little sushi roll
06:48what flavor of sushi would that be kind of actually looks like it's got corn in there
06:52likely i'm sure probably like fish eggs there too guys let you guys let me know do you like sushi
06:58i don't mind sushi um i don't really care for the really the raw fish but the actual just the
07:05sushi rolls uh i i really like like that like just the regular hand rolls but the sashimi not
07:11really a big fan of sashimi so she can just sort of carry that around as well and just munch

07:15it what's ironic though is that just with the limitations that she has in her elbow bend
07:20you couldn't technically have her really eating it because it won't actually fit to her face
07:26what i will do though is let's just go ahead and take the other hand off and i want to
07:30put in this
07:31hand here and the reasoning obviously if you've already seen my other reviews
07:34they have very cleverly put a loop see the see the one bit of noodles actually there's a whole
07:39bunch of noodles coming out the side of the cup well there's a space right there and the space right
07:45there is intended for her thumb so when you put this into her hand it isn't really so much the
07:50fingers that are holding the cup it's actually her thumb see that that's clever somebody at
07:57mattel's engineering department who was designing this in the first place they were really using the
08:02brains but yeah i like that again like with unfortunately having the i mean there's only
08:08so much range that you can actually do with her arms you can't technically even have a reaching the
08:12cup and you can't even at all entertain the idea of getting the chopsticks to her mouth it just isn't
08:17going to work that way let's go ahead and remove those i guess too we can also swap the hand
08:23back out
08:24even though the chopsticks really are soft plastic anyways i just don't want to i don't want to worry
08:28this whole time that i'm going to be bending the chopsticks okay so roomie does also come include
08:33some swappable head sculpts we'll kind of start with the defaulted head despite whatever i mean i
08:40entertained i said this to my daughter i'm like like you know if you're going to be displaying
08:43these on the shelf could i maybe just recommend using just the regular faces uh the only one that
08:48she actually ended up using the right face for i i say right face it doesn't really matter what
08:51face you end up using uh was actually mirrors uh she chose for zoe to actually have her look like
08:56she's feeding her face now funny though enough roomie has a similar face where it looks like
09:01she's actually just eating a whole bunch of noodles she has that she does also have a crying face too
09:09i actually kind of like this face not that i really want to see roomie crying i just think it's
09:14kind of
09:14different from the other faces that we've gotten with the other two figures changing out the faces by
09:18the way and just before we do that i'll show you guys what the face sculpt looks like on this
09:22one
09:23it's a pretty face and i could say that also i could carry that idea over to my daughter but
09:29i'm sure she's only just going to change the face for something else it's her figure she could do
09:33whatever she wants with it to change the figure's face by the way is just like with the other two
09:37you kind of have to get your finger underneath the face and pop it out of the peg now unlike
09:44the
09:44other two figures i didn't notice that i had a harder time getting the face attached so there's a
09:49there's a hole on both sides and there's a hole up the top there that for all intents and purposes
09:53that face should fit fine i find if you kind of put it in on an angle
10:01and then put it across like it almost doesn't even seem like the face will fit
10:05but you have to kind of stretch the face across does that make sense you have to push it on
10:10one side
10:10and then sort of pull it across to the other side it does eventually fit there but i feel like
10:16it
10:17isn't the easiest thing to change i had a lot easier of a time now granted with the other two
10:21figures you had to also remove their bangs with mira though well actually with zoe zoe with roomie
10:27the third time i'll get this right with roomie though you don't have to worry about actually
10:31removing any of the hair the hair is just always going to be there what's also kind of cool about
10:35the hair is it does actually have a ball joint so you can move the hair around so if you
10:41want to
10:41have the hair out for example you can do that you can turn the hair back and forth it's very
10:45soft
10:46plastic i i thought with this having already being like long plastic like this and poseable
10:51i kind of assumed that mattel would have also put a wire into this so you could have actually bent
10:56the hair that doesn't seem to be the case but there is at least a ball joint i guess it's

11:01kind of a hinge joint it does move back and forth of course up and down as well for the
11:06rest of roomie's
11:06outfit like within the in the movie she has the yellow jacket on it really nice like attention to
11:11detail though on the prints now if you were to look at everything here and think that that's a
11:16cost that's a cost everything here as a print is a cost for mattel to put that on the plastic
11:22a lot then went into the arms obviously a lot went into the front of the chest there as well
11:27it's just a really nice looking jacket and then of course underneath the jacket you wouldn't really
11:32be able to remove the jacket even though it does look like you could just only because like the sleeves
11:36are still going to be part of the arms but you know if not for that if you would have
11:41swappable
11:41arms for example yeah i think you could probably take the jacket off she has her shorts obviously
11:47underneath there as well really nice striping on the shorts i really also like the stripe that they
11:52put in the boots now obviously she's also got more kind of platform boots i mean i just look at
12:01that and i think to myself that would be so difficult to walk in but you know again style over
12:06what is it style over substance that's not is that the correct term i'm sure somebody who knows
12:11that term could let me down below for the articulation though for roomie we're going to go back first
12:15to her head sculpt now it is on a ball joint so it's going to already allow the head to
12:19move up and
12:20down back and forth technically too you could rotate it just watch for the braid all the way around
12:26and we have already looked at the fact that yeah the braid does also have posability there too so
12:30you can move it up and down back and forth and you could really rotate it all the way around
12:33as well
12:35still i think that they probably could have put a wire into that but i know again with that that's
12:38extra cost they've already put the cost into this of the jacket i can't really expect that they would
12:43have put a wire into the the actual ponytail uh for her arms um they rotate all the way around
12:49that
12:50now one side though because she has the shoulder pad you're going to find like the arm gets kind of
12:54more stuck this arm though it's still it's tight you could still rotate it all the way around this arm's
13:01going to have a little more harder of a time to do that both arms still easily hinge out so
13:05if you
13:05want a t pose for for roomie you can do that there's a swivel here for the forearm now there
13:10is no bicep
13:11swivel at all but being that they already have a swivel here for the forearm i think that's more than
13:15enough you only get this much of a hinge so you it's not really even quite 90 degrees it's maybe
13:22even
13:22a little less than that so having her really eating i mean she'd have to have somebody else feed her
13:27because it'd be an extra impossible fur to eat on her own hands rotate all the way around whether
13:31again you want to use these hands or the other hands they both all have hinges by the way so

13:35can hinge them back and forth top of the torso is going to be on our ball joint waist swivel
13:40i guess
13:41goes along for the ride as well legs split up take the legs move forward and back they're a little
13:46tighter to move forward and back um there is also a swivel now the swivel is right here very
13:52conveniently hidden just around the cut of the shorts of course she does also have a hinge in
13:56a double hinge in the knee which i know will unfortunately probably develop looseness over time
14:02she has also the boots swivel on their own so you can rotate those too and while i i've noticed
14:07that
14:07she's loose a little bit now in the knees she seems really tight though when it comes to the boots
14:12so
14:13maybe like this boot had the harder time i feel the bend yeah it's still it's still a little stiff
14:19unfortunately i want to make sure i've also got it going the right way do i have it going the
14:22right
14:22way maybe i don't have it going the right way something too that i've noticed also with her
14:27boots is that because the boot had to line itself up so see where the line goes down to about
14:33here and
14:34then you've got the rest of the line on the front of the boot there's very little space between those
14:38two parts to put in a hinge joint so because of that i i feel like the the feet the
14:43boots maybe have
14:45a harder time to hinge yeah this one boot i think i did have it going the wrong way this
14:50boot does
14:51feel like it's a little tighter than the other still it's a good looking figure i i don't love
14:56the really the idea of displaying her on the shelf it's not my choice it's going to be my daughter's
15:01choice when eventually she puts these on the shelf i know she was really excited to get roomy i i

15:05excited to get roomy and finally have a look at the figure let's get it back on the display stand
15:10i i still think that mirror is my favorite of the three she also really was a big fan of
15:15zoe but the
15:15one that she really wanted the most was roomy and it's funny though that i say that roomy seems to
15:20be
15:20the more difficult one to find now i've heard some people say that here in canada uh i think like
15:25real
15:25canadian store is starting to get a lot of these i still have gone back and checked walmart and i
15:31can't
15:31find these at all sure enough though they have the k-pop demon hunter dolls but what they don't seem
15:36to
15:36have is the figures now what's funny though that i say that going into walmart they don't seem to have
15:42the figures last little while though i've also checked online and walmart.ca or i guess would
15:48be.com if you shop from that there instead seem to have listings for these on their sites and yet
15:54they don't seem to have them in the stores i don't know what is the disconnect why an online source

15:59that store seems to have it available and yet the direct brick and mortar store doesn't still though i
16:04guess there are outlets to get your hands on these if you're again a canadian collector you're a big
16:08fan of the k-pop demon hunters film and want to get some merch at least the figures for that
16:12they are available they are though slowly trickling through at least here in canadian stores displaying
16:17roomy right now with her sangium sword which essentially is a four tiger evil slaying sword
16:22i think sangium sword sounds a little bit better i do hope though i pronounced that correctly i even
16:26looked online just to make sure i was saying it right it is a cool looking sword with even cooler
16:31plastic being used mattel has chosen this kind of plastic that bounces off the light with any one
16:37of the three weapons that the huntrix members wield the plastic depending on how the light hits it
16:41changes from sometimes blue to a purple and back again and it's just a really cool effect without
16:46actually having the weapons glowing now they could have also maybe had these glow in the dark but i guess
16:52the kind of plastic the composition of the plastic would have to have been a little bit different
16:56either way though unfortunately roomy i hate to say has a harder time to hold the sword
17:00she doesn't have to hold it necessarily with both hands like mirror would hold hers because she has
17:06to hold it in only one hand and just because the elbows aren't designed in a way that she could
17:10hold
17:10the sword with both her hands the plastic for the fingers is very soft anyways that when you do get
17:15her to finally hold the hilt of the sword it just doesn't really feel like she holds it all that
17:20well
17:20some things though i do really like about roomy is the fact that they added posability to her pigtail
17:25the ponytail on the back is very long and braided i actually was kind of expecting it to have a
17:31wire
17:31sewn into it but because i already know that the plastic they had to worry about the costing of
17:35obviously putting all the prints on roomy's jacket so i would think that that's going to be a cost every
17:40time you see that and then of course she does have swappable faces and some additional accessories
17:44too i guess for that i don't mind the fact that they had to unfortunately leave out a wire because
17:50after all there's possibility in the top of the ponytail anyways i still think i like mirror a
17:56little bit more but i really think that roomy turned out to be a great looking figure and again
18:01i can only really speak for probably how excited my daughter's going to be to finally now have all
18:05of huntrix complete and on the shelf have you guys at all been collecting the new uh k-pop demon
