00:00It has been a very hectic hurricane season for Hawaii, and although we're not looking at a landfall, we are
00:07looking for some heavy rain again.
00:10Olani, which is going to be losing wind intensity, will still send a lot of moisture off to the east
00:17and northeast.
00:18Now, I say east-northeast, and you notice Olani is to the east-northeast of the islands.
00:23However, upper-level flow, you can see Hawaii in the central part of the screen there.
00:29The flow is moving from west to east, so all that moisture from Olani is going to be sent eastward
00:36as a dip in the jet stream comes east.
00:39And what is that going to produce? Locally heavy rain.
00:42Now, beginning local time around Tuesday, and we'll have off and on rain and thunderstorms right in the Thursday night.
00:50That middle green shading, 2 to 4 inches, but there will be spots, especially in the mountains, that pick up
00:564 to 8 inches.
00:57And on the highest peaks, we can see over 2 feet of rain that's going to cause flooding.
01:04Now, short-term pain, long-term gain. Short-term pain, localized flooding.
01:09The long-term gain is that a lot of the islands, especially the Big Island, are experiencing droughts.
01:21The 등url region, so the Finale region and the West are operating in the middle of the coast.
01:21So, the Flux is still a big-term gain, and the Areas minus South, ideally, they're going to be crossing
01:21the forest.
01:21But in the right direction, we can see over 1 to 5 inches, and we can see over 2 inches,
01:21and this is going to be crossing the area.
01:21So, the Earth is going to be crossing the field, so it's going to be crossing the road.
01:21Now, a lot of the things that we can see over the coast are really good.
01:21And I know about that, but until the river, the river, the road is not being gone.
01:21So, we can see over the coast of the coast, and a lot of the coast, we can see over
01:21the coast of the coast.
