The Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a sharp attack against the Congress following the outcome of the Legislative Council elections across four states, where polling was conducted using ballot papers. Highlighting that the Congress secured only one seat while the BJP won 16 out of 28 seats, the party questioned the opposition's ongoing 'vote chori' campaign against electronic voting machines. Party leaders stated that the Congress has consistently demanded a return to paper ballots, yet failed to secure voter backing when ballot papers were actually deployed. Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda criticised the opposition's conduct, saying political credibility must be established with verifiable facts before approaching the Election Commission instead of raising unproven allegations over voter rolls. In response, Congress leaders such as Pawan Khera challenged the government to conduct the upcoming assembly elections using ballot papers if the BJP is truly confident.

00:18And Congress was also crying about Maharashtra and Haryana voter lists.
00:23But it must introspect now that why is it losing elections even when the ballot papers are used.
00:30Because remember, the Congress party has been advocating for ballot papers and has been opposing EVMs.
00:36J.P. Nutta also said that I'm willing to teach opposition how to oppose.
00:41So he's attacked the Congress party over the MLC poll results saying that how the Congress party advocates for ballot
00:47papers.
00:47But despite ballot papers being used, the Congress party only managed to win a single seat in four states.
00:55And J.P. Nutta has also said that the Congress party needs to introspect.

01:39J.P. Nutta said.
01:54Which answer?
01:56These people...
01:58I'm saying, I'm saying,
02:00I'm saying,
02:01Look, they have to take a tuition for opposition.

02:16The first thing is,
02:18I'm going to be opposition leader.
02:20The first thing is,
02:21that the opposition leader,
02:23first of all,
02:24will establish their credibility.
02:26Until they don't have credibility,
02:28then what will they do?
02:31They have not been established,
02:33they have not been able to establish
02:35in the last 10 years their own credibility.
02:39Today,
02:42470 plus days.
02:45When they were in Karnatak,
02:47which place was in Mahadevpura?
02:51In that they challenged them,
02:53that 1,000,000 votes are wrong.
02:56Today, 470 days have been done.
02:58The only one,
02:59the only election commission,
03:02you have not given a complaint on oath.
03:06In Maharashtra,
03:08in Haryana, in every place.
03:09What is this?
03:09What is this?
03:10Put the sword and run away.
03:12We were doing the principle in college.
03:16In university.
03:18This is an irresponsible behavior.
03:21If you are responsible,
03:23you come out with facts.
03:25Go to election commission.
03:27You have never visited the election commission.
03:29In the EVM,
03:30I called you in the hackathon.
03:32Hackathon.
03:33The election commission was challenged.
03:34Not even a single person from Congress party
03:37or any other opposition party went there.
03:40You have not been made.
03:43You are going with the Supreme Court.
03:45What happened to you?
03:46You are going with the Supreme Court.
03:48You are going with the Supreme Court.
03:49How did the Supreme Court become a city?
03:50You are going with the Supreme Court.
03:53And my colleague,
03:54Piyush continues to stay with us.
03:56So, Piyush,
03:56amid the vote-chouri campaign,
03:58which is being led by the Congress party
03:59and also head of the mega rally
04:01at Ramlila Maidan.
04:02Now,
04:03J.P. Nadda has taken a jive
04:05at the Congress party,
04:06questioning its performance
04:07in the recently concluded MLC polls
04:09in which it has managed to win
04:10just single seat in four states.
04:16Well, that's right.
04:17BJP is now attacking Congress
04:19over the abysmal performance
04:22in MLC elections.
04:23Remember that the Congress party
04:25has been able
04:26to win only one seat
04:27in these elections
04:28and BJP has been able to
04:30grab around 16 seats
04:31out of 28 seats
04:34in the MLC elections.
04:35And now BJP is taking a jive
04:38at Congress party.
04:39Why?
04:39Because Congress is the same party
04:41which has been demanding
04:41that elections must happen
04:43on ballot paper.
04:44And when the elections
04:45in MLC elections
04:47have happened
04:48on ballot paper,
04:49they have lost,
04:50they have now been shown
04:51the mirror by the people
04:53of the country.
04:53That's what the BJP is now saying.
04:55On these comments,
04:57we have also seen
04:58statements coming in
04:59from the Congress party
05:01where leaders
05:01like Pawan Kheda
05:02are saying that if
05:03the BJP government
05:04is very much confident
05:05of holding elections
05:07on ballot paper,
05:08then why not hold elections
05:09of upcoming assembly elections
05:11also using the same means.
05:13So,
05:15war of words
05:15have now broken out
05:16after abysmal performance
05:18of the Congress party.
05:19BJP seems to be
05:20taking jive at the Congress
05:22because they were the one
05:24who were demanding elections
05:25to happen on ballot paper.
05:28All right,
05:29Piyush, thank you for joining us
05:30with those details
05:30and with that context.
05:32So, the BJP is now
05:33attacking the Congress party
05:34questioning its performance
05:35despite ballot papers
05:37being used for the MLC elections.
05:38on the other hand,
05:39the Congress party
05:40remains defiant
05:40and is still advocating
05:42and demanding the use
05:43of ballot papers
05:44in all the elections.
