00:04My name is Justin J. Wee and my Addison residence is Loose Control.
00:11I was traveling through Spain and Morocco and I thought to myself if I come away from this trip
00:18with imagery that I'm satisfied with then on the immigration card when it says occupation I'm
00:24going to write Photographer. It encouraged a sort of intentionality to my practice.
00:34As someone who is in the minority I'm finally feeling like the way that I see myself is
00:40potentially how other people are seeing me as well. Photography is definitely beautiful in the
00:48sense that you can reach people in corners you would never have the luxury or the ability to
00:54go to. Beauty and photography is really in the relationship that you develop with your subject.
01:03Having people feel seen in a way that they also normally don't see themselves which is
01:08something that has been so invaluable and I really treasured. Being a photographer and
01:16understanding that I'm forever learning and honing my sense of perspective and my style
01:20and create community or language of relatability that other people can move through and interact with.
