01:12name is Dominique Jones I'm a lash technician I do lashes based in Los Angeles the lash perms have been
01:19a thing for some time now they've been doing this in Japan Korea it was kind of a old-school
01:25technique
01:26and smelled super super gross like perm solution and they would use like these little sticky small
01:34rods and it was just a super outdated technique but over time it's been revamped and now it's super
01:42popular and is known as a lash lift Danny so go ahead and lay down so for the end result
01:49um do
01:49you want your lashes pretty dramatic and up or do you want more like a softer curl or do you
01:54want
01:54to go for it all out the more six yeah let's just do the draw okay cool sounds good I
01:59always tell my
02:00clients just relax and in 45 minutes you'll have amazing lifted lashes step one we cover the bottom lashes
02:09with eye patches we have the client slowly close their eyes make sure the patches are comfortable before
02:19proceeding with the process we then adhere a silicone rod onto the top lash line we apply adhesive onto that
02:37rod and start sticking your lashes up onto the silicone rod I then will brush your lashes up onto the
02:53rod make
02:53sure that they're isolated nice and that they're all secure and stuck onto the silicone rod
03:06I then apply step one step one will soften the lashes it'll change the elasticity of the lashes it'll
03:16soften them so that they can mold into the shape of the rod I'll let the lashes set for 10
03:27minutes
03:38then I will apply step two this is the neutralizing step this will set and hold the lashes to retain
03:47the
03:47shape of the rod so then when we peel it back it will stay up and curled I will let
03:58this step sit
03:59on for another 10 minutes after that 10 minutes is up I remove step two solution and the lashes will
04:21have
04:21retained the shape of the rod and now I will clean off everything and dry the lashes brush them
04:33and do the grand reveal all righty so are you ready to see your lashes all right cool here's the

04:44whoa that's nuts I never thought my eyelashes would be this long without mascara I'm so stoked never to put
04:52on makeup again so the aftercare is super easy I tell my clients just go about your day as normal

05:01even think about it that much basically just don't apply mascara and don't submerge your lashes in water
05:07and they're like can I shower can I wash my face yeah you can just make it a point to
05:12splash around your
05:13lashes so you're not getting them directly wet and after 24 hours you can totally forget about doing
05:20anything differently and just proceed as normal I think my favorite part about doing lash lifts is
05:26just the instant before and after they close their eyes for 45 minutes and they open and it's just like
05:33night and day and so that instant gratification is super cool and really rewarding how excited they get
05:42that it's been over a week since I got my eyelashes permed after I was done with the treatment I
05:48was
05:48super excited because I could already see a difference like immediately my experience that I do lashes was a
05:55very pleasant one I was a little nervous going in but I didn't need to be because it was super
06:00relaxing and
06:02awesome I have been receiving a lot of compliments I think a lot of people keep asking me if I
06:07got my eyelashes
06:08extended and I'm like it's natural the lash lip can last you about six to eight weeks it's super low
06:16maintenance so over time as like lashes go through a cycle you get a bunch of new straight ones and
06:23then you can return and do another one I also encourage lash serum lash vitamins to enhance their natural
06:31lashes so they can be happier with the results of a lash lift in the future I would definitely do

06:38procedure again overall this experience showed me that it's important to take care of yourself it
06:44reminded me that there's also stuff that you can do that's super low maintenance and it just helps
06:49give you more confidence and feel better about yourself I was really happy with Dani's results I
06:54think it definitely opened up her eyes made her look more awake it was like a super subtle change but
