00:04Why should we stand down? Why should we not give ourselves a chance to step out
00:10to the forefront and say this is who I am? Everything about us is strong. Let's
00:15break all the rules.
00:20My name is Ebony Williams and I'm a dancer for Cedar Lake. My name is Hannah
00:24Voss and I'm a writer and an actress. I'm Vanessa Black and I'm a filmmaker. I'm
00:28Alicia Reiner and I'm an actress. My name is Selena Watkins and I'm a professional
00:32dancer. I'm Claire Deluxe. I dance with fire and LED and I walk on stilts. My name is Jenny Mullen
00:39and I'm a writer and an actress. I'm Margo. I'm Charlie. We are musicians, composers, visual artists,
00:46all that stuff. Being an entertainer means passion, being fierce, doing what I love every day. When
00:53that you have a chance on stage to just live in the moment and to not judge yourself, it's
00:59a risk every time I get on stage. When you monitor every movement, it actually holds you
01:04back as a dancer. There's no such thing as a mistake. It's just living in it and letting
01:09things happen organically. Being an entertainer means waking up every day and being excited about
01:15how I'm going to spend my time. It's adrenaline. Any pain, any fear, anything that once was inside,
01:20performing just replaces all of that. Our biggest risk was meeting each other and running off
01:26together the very next day. And ever since then, we've just been a band. That's special. That vibe
01:31and that energy that we have. So we just kind of go with it. There's nothing like creating a moment
01:36for someone else to step into making that connection with an audience of being open and knowing that
01:42they're with you and you're with them. I take risks every day as an entertainer when we audition
01:46and put ourselves out there on the line being vulnerable to people saying no. They don't need
01:50someone, our look or our height or our color. Being an artist, every day waking up and doing it. I'm
01:56going to do this again. You're really scared and then you go out there and you forget about everything
02:00else and I think that's probably why I do it. You know, if you want to be a trailblazer, you
02:04have to
02:05risk something. It doesn't feel good otherwise. As women, I think it's important for us to encourage
02:13each other to be bold and be these fearless babes. Somewhere we learn that we have to keep it together
02:19a little bit more and we have to be perfect and we have to look good doing it. Being willing
02:24to be bold
02:25sometimes means you fall down and you get back up and you do it again.
02:30you
