We've already mastered wet-look hair. So, naturally, the next logical step in our quest to channel Beyoncé at the Grammys (no, we'll never be over it) is to conquer that slick, metallic makeup that stopped us in our tracks. Unfortunately, unlike Queen B, we don't have a glam squad at our beck and call. But, lucky for us, we do have one seriously talented makeup artist who's willing to break down our favorite beauty looks step by step: James Vincent. With the help of a few choice products, he gave Shawna, our director of business intelligence, wet-look eyeshadow like we'd never seen before. Peep her metallic makeover, above.

00:07Mmm, we're ready.
00:11So the look I want to try today is the wet eyeshadow look and figure out how to master it
00:15without actually looking like a grease ball.
00:18Shauna, my love. The glossy eye look. You're loving it?
00:22Yes.
00:22What are you afraid of?
00:23I'm afraid of a couple of things. I'm afraid that it's going to run down my face, I'm afraid that
00:27I'm going to look like a grease ball,
00:29I'm afraid I'm not going to look as successful as Beyonce.
00:32Well, Beyonce does it best. She has a great team of makeup artists.
00:36But let me show you some of our kind of pro secrets for not only getting a great kind of
00:41wet look, but making it last all day.
00:43Awesome, let's do it.
00:44Let's do it.
00:44My first trick is always to use a bit of an eye primer, something that is going to keep everything
00:52in place.
00:53And I'm just using my finger and then bringing it right onto the lid.
00:56Next, I want to add dimension. So I'm going to use a long wear liner or cream shadow.
01:02And I'm also choosing a color that has a kind of fun metallic look to it. Anything metallic will also
01:10trick a wet look.
01:11Lip gloss is a great way to get that wet eye look. But what we want to do is choose
01:19a long wear lip gloss.
01:21Something that already has a staying power to it. You can use your finger to apply it.
01:26And I'm starting in the center of the lid.
01:27Okay.
01:28And just working it from crease to lash, right down over the liner that I already put on.
01:34And now I'm going in with a brush and just using it to define.
01:38The last trick is to use some type of Vaseline or petroleum jelly.
01:44I'm only putting it right in the center of the lid.
01:46The trick with shine is that you don't need to use it all over.
01:50You want to keep it very focused, but it will make the entire eye look shiny.
01:53And to keep it all in place, a setting spray.
01:56And I'm just going to give a fewness of setting spray.
01:59And that will hold everything into place.
02:01If you really want to get specific, there are also aqua seals that you can use right on the eye
02:07to keep everything put.
02:08But because I've used long wear product, a general setting spray is just as effective.
02:13So why don't I do the other eye?
02:14Okay.
02:15And then I'm going to let you take a look.
02:16Okay.
02:17Ooh, I think this is it.
02:20I think this is the great look for the weekend.
02:21Yeah.
02:22Oh, yes.
02:23If we take that monochromatic look and bring the same lip gloss onto the lip and cheek, you have a
02:30look that is just nonstop.
02:32All right.
02:32Beyonce does it better than anybody, but here is our Lady Boss Beyonce look.
02:37And I love it and I hope you do.
02:38Thank you so much.
02:40I do.
02:40I do love it.
02:41It's sort of punchy and fun.
