00:00there is losing and then there is getting absolutely embarrassed and it's interesting
00:05in the lead-up to this game we talked a lot about the importance of this game
00:08and I made a cataclysmic mistake and that is I thought the Browns would show up
00:15is that it yeah I thought they would show up and be competitive even when they they had a
00:20disastrous first quarter the first two offensive possessions were fumbles even uh when the Steelers
00:27rebounded their second drive with points even when Boswell actually made a field goal I thought
00:33to myself we got a chance it was right around the end of the first half where you had to
00:38settle for
00:38three and they immediately marched down the field in about 45 seconds and put seven on the board that
00:44I realized oh crap we might actually be cooked yeah that was the backbreaker it seemed it was
00:49interesting because early on it felt like it should have been 37 to nothing uh and and the
00:54Browns should have been getting just belt raced and for some reason the Steelers were letting the
00:58Browns just hang around and then it just became too much yeah damn opened and then the it was just
01:03done even in the second half you can make the case that whether that was a merciful act by Mike
01:07McCarthy
01:07or DK Metcalf just can't catch can't catch which might be an act of God Metcalf stinks he really is
01:13not good but you know what six pack 12 pack even good for him looks good on Instagram yeah yeah

01:21making 64 million dollars to look good on Instagram but no I mean listen there's no way around
01:26and and I I understand that the inclination is to then do one of two things it's either the season
01:34is over or it's just one week guys both things in this case are absolutely true you they will play
01:41again on Saturday against the Saints and that was also an embarrassing loss you were allowed to melt down
01:47as a fan yeah if this was a walk-off field goal by Chris Boswell yeah we're probably not coming

01:53here and doing the meltdown thing and getting upset about the the way you lost or getting the fact that
01:57you lost right you you'd you'd never showed up to the game and there is no part of this team

02:04free from criticism I I Deshaun and put up some really nice numbers he didn't play that well the
02:11running game Quinchon uh continued to run into a stacked box uh the offensive line had probably
02:16its worst game of the year which is saying something because they've had some doozies this
02:19year uh the pass catchers did okay but outside of Harold Fannin Jr and even that was some stat
02:25padding stuff there at the end of the game getting to over 150 yards the defense played honestly
02:31atrociously uh the linebackers got cooked and you know how much we trust the linebackers on this team
02:35there were some moments where the cornerbacks played well but moments because they also got
02:41cooked by DK Metcalf like there is no part of this team free of absolutely being scorched for how they
02:48showed up to Pittsburgh yeah and it's just a letdown because a win could have changed the conversation
02:52around this team it really could have and now a loss doesn't have to define the conversation either
02:56and it doesn't have to drag this team down and uh but yeah a win would have drastically changed what
03:01people thought about this team and because the the Steelers are one of the good teams we'll take on this
03:04year that's a good football team and we didn't we don't have too many opportunities to showcase to
03:08people that this is a good football team and that one was one of them and it just it couldn't
03:12have
03:12worse and the whole social contract between fans and their team is we got your back win lose or draw
03:19just don't get embarrassed and I'll be honest with you I still don't have a problem with anything
03:25that Brown said last week I have no problem with playing up a rivalry I do have a problem if
03:30you then go
03:31out and look out manned outclassed and get embarrassed now do I think it's probably close
03:38to one week right now even if some of the things that you saw in this game have been repeats
03:43of what
03:43you've seen in other games yeah yeah they've been able to overcome this stuff I still believe that
03:49dexterity that flexibility that they've shown I still believe it's in there this to me goes in the
03:54pile with the Jacksonville game you got shell-shocked and you just never got out of your own way but

03:59least that game felt very explainable right and we did so very quickly we're like all right man
04:03coverage versus zone Rutenberg's going to get that fixed and then all of a sudden we're going to be
04:08off to the races and he did he turned it around in week two and it felt like that was
04:11behind us but
04:12now for how many weeks in a row really since Braylon Allen does it feel like we just can't stop

04:16running back to save our lives yeah and I we are we it's so funny on the offense we got
04:20a chicken
04:21or egg thing with the offensive line and Deshaun holding the ball too long defensively sometimes it's
04:27the linebackers but sometimes it's the the defensive line just kind of not being lined up right after
04:32eight weeks that's kind of unacceptable when the when the defense really needs to carry you so we
04:38might be expecting too much of the defense but if that's what your defense is going to do especially
04:43again listen Braylon Allen was one thing because Braylon is a unproven I know he had a nice day
04:49yesterday 150 yards yesterday like but it's him into Tony Pollard and then Jalen Warren these are all I mean
04:53these are good backs they're not bad backs yeah but but it's also Saquon Barkley it's also happening
04:58every single week too though is the problem and listen I'm very well aware of the idea that this
05:03Browns team is playing with a lot of injuries and they're trying to play through a lot Schwestinger
05:07just doesn't look the same right now Mason Graham doesn't look the same right now but if you're
05:11going to put yourself out on the field and you're going to tell everyone that you're healthy enough
05:14to play then you have to show up if you had lost nowhere close right now if you had lost
05:18a normal loss a if you had lost a well you were three and a half point dogs in this
05:24game if you
05:24had lost by four points or three points we could have said that was a missed opportunity you had it
05:31right there but okay now you kind of push forward and let's see how you regroup against the Saints
05:36some of that is still true for the Saints game but now it is all right what led to that

05:43there what what was it that allowed you to go into Pittsburgh and I will say this because we'll at
05:50some point get into the Todd Munkin part of this the Sean part of this I don't know what Todd

05:55was thinking accepting the ball first I actually I know what he was thinking which was we want to
06:01try and start fast and we're trying to start with the offense I feel like he felt like if he
06:06went down
06:06you could have a repeat of basically the Jacksonville game well the problem was he forgot that his
06:11offense is is fragile he forgot that his quarterback his confidence still wanes from play to play drive
06:18to drive moment to moment and I think he put that offense in a terrible position now he could not
06:23have
06:23foreseen the brisker hit which then knocks out uh Deshaun for three plays but in that moment he failed
06:31to remember what his offense is and what they've been and what got him to five and two I don't
06:38have a lot
06:38of criticism beyond Todd Munkin from that because a lot of what happened yesterday was player driven
06:43it was guys thinking they had already won the game before they got off the damn airplane and that's
06:49how you get to where you got I mean that's that's kind of where I feel on it it's like
06:51you could have
06:52given you could have given the Browns five straight possessions to start the game the game is still
06:55going to go that way but like starting it with the offense on the field the weakest part about you
07:01I I even in real time I didn't love that and then to then cap it off with that late
07:08first half I mean
07:09it was 45 seconds of glory from the Steelers where they picked on your linebackers as a matter of fact
07:14that's the only guy I okay I'll give Harold fan in a pass because he did put up 150 yards

07:24that guy's playing through injury I will forgive him entirely for being cooked by Darnell Washington and

07:35nothing bad to say about either of you for how you played right effort wise I mean you know what
07:41actually there's one more thing yeah one more thing that I absolutely drove me crazy yesterday
07:46and and I actually want to give Pittsburgh credit on this once they got into the game they did their
07:53best to bait the Cleveland Browns on every single opportunity whether it was jackhammering
07:59tombstone pile driving Jared Verse into the ground like he was a freaking lawn dart whether
08:05it was uh taunting uh getting uh Chris Boswell drawing a taunting call you're an eastern mascarinous
08:12Arnold one get a more pronounceable name two but you're letting a kicker get near your cage didn't
08:18want to mess with the real players on the team I mean that is and these other guys are kicking

08:22right now let's go after the kicker and so I think that's where the ultimate frustration
08:25is is you didn't just get embarrassed by them kicking your ass you got embarrassed and then you
08:31showed your ass on top of getting your ass but it even continued even like the pregame part of this
08:36where you know Jared Verse going right into Cam Hayward's pregame preparation like they were they
08:42were asking for it they were asking for it the entire time and then they got what they were asking
08:46for delivered to him on a sofa platter and they didn't know how to respond to it
