00:02 - Maybe this is the next one, Bill.
00:04 I don't know that this would be a 2024, 25 deal,
00:08 but the future of the ACC, which seemed to be pretty clean,
00:12 isn't as clean as we once thought
00:14 based on some of the comments made last week
00:16 by Florida State University.
00:17 Then we get some news that they're trying to raise money
00:21 for the university as well,
00:23 and they're the crown jewel of the conference.
00:26 If they were to leave the ACC, Bill,
00:28 I would think that other teams would follow suit.
00:30 - And I understand what Florida State's motivation is.
00:35 And the ACC first probably needs to look at
00:39 restructuring how they do the revenue sharing.
00:41 Because if you're a Florida State fan
00:43 or a Florida State alum or a trustee,
00:45 the ones that were getting loud last week,
00:47 what are you looking at?
00:48 We're getting 30 million.
00:50 Florida, our in-state rivals, getting 40 plus,
00:53 probably close to 50 soon.
00:55 So when your rival's making that much more money
00:58 than you, getting more exposure in the SEC,
01:00 you're gonna want those things.
01:02 And Florida State is a proud enough program to do that.
01:05 So I think the ACC needs to look
01:07 at the revenue redistribution,
01:09 try to keep Clemson and Florida State happy,
01:12 try to keep Notre Dame on that five game arrangement,
01:14 and try to be more than just this grant of rights deal
01:18 that runs through 2036.
01:19 Because the more people that talk about it,
01:22 the more I think they're gonna try to find a way
01:24 around that deal.
01:25 If they're gonna consult JPMorgan Chase
01:27 for ways to make more money
01:29 for their program to do these things,
01:31 you know they're at least somewhat serious about it.
