00:02 - He's hitting 419 over the last eight games, 13 for 31.
00:07 He's had three straight multi-hit games.
00:11 The guy's tearing it up.
00:13 He is the Cubs leader.
00:15 It's unbelievable what he's done from, you know,
00:19 rising to stardom in Los Angeles,
00:22 then hitting a wall and being turned on by the LA faithful.
00:27 Then he gets his game back a little bit.
00:29 Then he gets traded to the Cubs
00:31 and then he takes off again to rockstar status.
00:34 I think overall, he's a great ball player, always has been.
00:39 And every player, as you know, at some point or another,
00:42 just like golfers, they hit a wall at some point
00:45 and they just have a bad year, a bad stretch
00:48 and people give up on them.
00:51 I'm not giving up on Bellinger
00:52 any more than I'll give up on JT Thomas.
00:55 I mean, the bottom line is guys have off seasons.
00:58 It is what it is.
00:59 When you play that many games, you play that many seasons,
01:02 you're bound to have ups and downs.
01:04 - So a good weekend for the Cubs.
01:06 Back on July 24th, they were 48 and 51.
01:11 They have gone 10 and three since
01:14 and are now only a game and a half back
01:17 of the Brewers for first in the Central.
01:19 They've gone from 15 to one to two to one
01:23 to win the NL Central.
01:24 - Well, here's the difference, Mike,
01:26 is that the Brewers can pitch,
01:30 but they don't score runs.
01:32 You know, frankly, that's their MO.
01:34 And the Cubs actually have both pitching
01:39 and a sick lineup of guys that can hit.
01:43 I think the Cubs will win the division.
