00:02 - Yeah, and as far as the legal market is concerned,
00:04 Casey, I think you threw out this number,
00:07 18.4%, if I'm not mistaken,
00:09 midway through the year is the increase.
00:12 And so what kind of numbers does that look like
00:15 in terms of the overall money
00:18 that has been wagered on sports this year?
00:20 - Listen, it's, you know, $55 billion in handle
00:25 through the first half of 2023 is a remarkable pace
00:29 and certainly the revenue for sports betting operators
00:32 has continued to grow exponentially.
00:35 You know, that number is up 67% year over year,
00:37 driven in large part from new markets coming online
00:40 and certainly markets like Massachusetts and Ohio
00:44 that have been strong gambling markets for a long time,
00:46 entering into legal sports betting
00:49 and offering their constituencies access to those products
00:53 has been huge through the first half.
00:54 And we're gonna see more of that
00:55 as we go into the fall, right?
00:56 Kentucky is gonna launch in September,
00:59 North Carolina Mobile is gonna come online
01:00 sometime this year,
01:01 and you've got perhaps Maine and Vermont,
01:04 maybe late this year, maybe early the next year.
01:06 So there's a lot of markets
01:08 that are gonna continue to come online
01:09 and give American sports bettors
01:11 the right kind of opportunity
01:13 to place their bets in the legal market.
01:15 (upbeat music)
01:18 you
