00:03 Got some breaking news from the NFL, ESPN is reporting.
00:06 The Buccaneers have made a decision on their starting quarterback.
00:08 They had a competition between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask to replace Tom Brady
00:12 for the season or at least the beginning of the season.
00:15 Opening up in game one, it will be Baker Mayfield who finished last season
00:19 with the Rams.
00:20 So Baker is the starting quarterback for the Rams.
00:23 Now who the starting quarterback for the Colts is gonna be to open up the season is
00:26 anybody's guess, but it does not look like it's going to be Jonathan Taylor.
00:30 Colts have allowed Taylor to request a trade, where there's smoke there's fire,
00:34 so to speak.
00:34 Taylor's been away from the team for personal reasons.
00:37 It's very apparent there's a divorce coming for these two teams.
00:41 There are some reports saying that first round pick is what the Colts are looking
00:46 for in return.
00:47 That's gonna be hard considering the dynamic of running backs these days.
00:50 There's another report essentially saying that the Miami Dolphins,
00:52 according to the Herald, could be interested in acquiring Jonathan Taylor as well.
00:56 So this will probably happen, I would guess, before the beginning of the regular
01:00 season and boy, the Colts are gonna be up against it with a rookie quarterback
01:05 going into the year, no doubt.
01:06 Also the National Football League, for those of you who collect trading cards,
01:10 the NFLPA has terminated their trading card agreement with Panini effective
01:14 immediately.
01:15 So Fanatics is taking over there for those of you who collect cards.
01:18 Probably the end of the line for Panini and the NFL players,
01:22 unless they don't wanna have their names or their logos or anything else on them.
01:25 Also Brett Favre has been accused of withholding some text messages in that
01:30 Mississippi welfare litigation.
01:32 If you haven't been following this, Favre is being accused of some improprieties
01:37 in terms of money as it pertains to some different sort of charities.
01:41 Nonetheless, this is a case that just continues on and Favre, by the way,
01:45 has said he's done nothing wrong.
01:46 He has sued people for saying that he did do anything wrong.
01:49 So gotta obviously tread lightly and follow this case as it goes.
01:52 And also Scott Van Pelt is gonna host ESPN's Monday Night Football Countdown.
01:57 Also more or less some of the same faces, but Larry Fitzgerald,
01:59 really good name, I think, interesting.
02:01 Gonna be along with the crew this year as well.
