00:02 Start off with the Chargers taking on the Raiders.
00:09 Now, naturally the Raiders are gonna be a favorite here
00:11 because Justin Herbert is out
00:12 and he's gonna miss the rest of the season.
00:14 I watched Easton Stick play.
00:17 I don't know how closely you did,
00:19 but I saw some good, I saw some bad.
00:22 It's like, I guess the thing for me,
00:24 we're gonna talk about the Bengals here, Jacob,
00:25 in a minute, is that I'm hesitant
00:27 after seeing a backup quarterback for a couple of hours
00:31 to make any kind of determination,
00:32 because if I would have done that,
00:34 I would have thought Jake Browning can't play.
00:35 Now, all of a sudden, Jake Browning and the Bengals
00:38 are gonna cash in in the off season with a trade probably,
00:40 or maybe a contract of some kind.
00:43 But the Raiders' offense has looked dreadful.
00:45 I'm guessing with this low total,
00:47 maybe there's a chance to go under.
00:48 How do you see this game playing out on Sunday?
00:51 - Yeah, I think this could be an ugly game
00:54 that is kind of what we expected to see
00:56 from the Patriots and Steelers last Thursday.
00:58 We were talking about, oh, that might be
01:00 one of the lowest scoring games in NFL history.
01:02 It turned out the Raiders Vikings
01:04 was the lowest scoring game since the merger.
01:06 Tied that record.
01:07 Only seven games have finished
01:09 with a total of three points since 1970.
01:11 So I don't wanna trust the Raiders' offense,
01:14 even in this spot where the Chargers' defense
01:17 obviously has some weaknesses.
01:18 There are plenty of ways to beat this defense,
01:21 but I don't know if I'm willing to trust Aiden O'Connell
01:24 to do that and to cover a three-point spread.
01:27 And as you mentioned, Easton Sticks showed some flashes
01:30 against the Broncos.
01:31 And like you said, it's hard to judge a player
01:34 based off of what they did in one outing
01:36 without really knowing much about Stick.
01:38 Stick is in his fifth NFL season
01:40 before last week he had thrown one regular season pass.
01:43 So it's hard to know what they have,
01:45 but he's the all-time FCS leader in wins
01:48 at North Dakota State.
01:49 So if he can just be a game manager,
01:51 get the ball to the Chargers playmakers,
01:53 I like their chances of keeping this one close,
01:55 even against a Raiders' defense
01:56 that has played more energized
01:58 since Antonio Pierce took over as head coach.
