00:00 Hello, it's been a gusty blusterous day across some parts of the country.
00:05 The winds will ease a little bit through the night, but it is going to be a fairly breezy
00:08 weekend all in all.
00:10 A bit of a messy picture with the cloud and the rain, but some outbreaks of rain just
00:13 trickling southwards into parts of northern England and north Wales.
00:17 Plenty of showers packing in with the gusty conditions over northern Scotland.
00:21 The strongest gusts over northeast England and southeast Scotland will be easing through
00:26 the night.
00:27 Further south, most places just stay dry and cloudy and it will stay very mild here as
00:32 well with temperatures across most of England and Wales, certainly in towns and cities staying
00:36 at 9 or 10 Celsius.
00:38 Colder air pushing into Scotland and Northern Ireland, but it's still far from cold with
00:42 many towns and cities staying a few degrees above freezing.
00:46 Still windy here however, so feeling fairly fresh with that gusty wind blowing plenty
00:50 of showers to the Highlands, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles.
00:53 Much of eastern and southern Scotland through the central belt staying dry and bright all
00:57 day, along with much of Northern Ireland and for a good part of northern England too.
01:02 Outbreaks of rain will affect particularly west and north Wales and some of that will
01:06 creep back into parts of northern England and maybe into parts of East Anglia during
01:10 the afternoon.
01:11 A bit of drizzle at times in the far southwest, but much of southern England will just be
01:15 cloudy and dry.
01:18 Still quite breezy, but as I said, the wind's not as strong as they have been through Friday
01:22 and still very mild in the south, 12, 13 degrees.
01:26 The north not as mild as Friday, but still temperatures could get to double digits in
01:32 one or two places and 8 or 9 Celsius is a touch above average for the time of year.
01:37 Through Saturday evening, some of that patchy drizzly rain across south Wales and southwest
01:41 England will continue, elsewhere becoming dry.
01:44 But then later on as we head into Sunday, the rain will push back up towards Northern
01:48 Ireland and throughout this period, throughout Saturday night, the showers will continue
01:53 to pack in across northern parts of Scotland.
01:56 That rain returning to Northern Ireland is courtesy of this warm front.
02:00 We've still got high pressure nearby to the south, but this front pushing its way northwards
02:04 will reintroduce the milder air back across Northern Ireland through northern England
02:10 as we go through the day.
02:11 By the end of Sunday, that milder air pushing back across Scotland too.
02:14 But it will also be bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain.
02:17 So a dull, damp start for Northern Ireland on Sunday.
02:20 That rain will then work into western parts of Scotland, probably not much getting to
02:23 the east coast and there'll be rain on and off for northwest England.
02:28 Some rain at times over the hills of Wales, but again, a good part of the south will just
02:33 be dry and cloudy.
02:35 The winds strengthening though through the day.
02:37 But as we've seen, bringing that milder air back, so temperatures widely in double digits
02:42 on Sunday and again, some pockets of the south getting into the teens, particularly if it
02:46 does brighten up at all.
02:47 So overall, a fairly mild breezy weekend.
02:50 There will be some rain around, signs that things could get colder certainly across the
02:54 north as we go through next week.
