00:03Hi, I'm Annie Georgia Greenberg, New York editor of Refinery29, and it's New York Fashion Week.
00:08We're at Lincoln Center right before the DVF show.
00:10We're going to see what the attendees are wearing today because we all know that's just as important as what's
00:15coming down the runway.
00:18How does fashion differ in New York and in Turkey?
00:21Turkey is an emerging market in terms of the designers.
00:24Sure.
00:24And the Fashion Week is very new, so it's nice, exciting.
00:29I always say that it's like 20 years ago London scene, you know, the energy, the art scene, the fashion
00:34scene, the design scene, the energy is great.
00:37What are you wearing today other than 50 shades of white, would you say?
00:40Yeah, exactly, exactly.
00:42What are you wearing? Who makes your sunglasses first of all?
00:44Sunglasses are trussardi. Jacket, also bag is trussardi.
00:49And this shirt is a great Turkish designer, Zeynep Tosun. Actually, she's really, really good, very talented.
00:59And the pants are sandra, and the coat is vintage.
01:05Who makes that coat? We spotted it from a mile away.
01:08Thank you, it's vintage. I found it in a vintage store in Sydney.
01:11And who makes your earpiece? I don't know if you can see this, but she's either from the future or
01:16away from the past.
01:16It's kind of like a centipede spine, I think. It's by an Australian designer called Ryan Stora.
01:23What is your favorite show that you've seen so far?
01:25I really liked Helmut Lang on Friday night. It's just really, you know, casual, relaxed, really New Yorker vibe.
01:34What's been the best show you've seen so far?
01:35I don't know, I'm actually excited because DVF is always my favorite.
01:39Very cool. And who makes your jacket?
01:40This is Zara, actually.
01:42And what about your glasses and your hat?
01:43And this is a super retro feature, and new new shoes and American apparel vibe.
01:51Okay, let's do the whole thing. And your pants.
01:53Okay, my pants is Chris Barros. It's a Brazilian designer.
01:57Are you Brazilian? Yes.
01:58Love it.
02:00When you're packing and planning outfits for Fashion Week, did you take into the account the cold,
02:05and if not, did you have to make last-minute changes to your outfits if you pre-prepare them? How
02:10did that work?
02:10I take weather into account. Like, I look at the hour-by-hour weather reports.
02:14I don't even look at the generic ones, because, you know, for me, like, staying warm,
02:20like, being able to walk everywhere is super important, even though I am wearing, like, lots of snow boots today.
02:25But I was practical yesterday.
02:26Do you do quick changes in between shows ever?
02:29No. No. That's not you. No. No time.
02:34Do you have any, like, survival tips for Fashion Week?
02:38Do everything fast.
02:40I mean, like, if you have, like, many castings per day or many shows per day,
02:44so you have to do everything quick and do everything the base.
02:48Yeah, the best and the fastest. That's New York for you. That's Fashion Week.
02:52Yeah.
02:53So, as we can see, DVF draws a very internationally chic crowd,
02:57but the sun is setting on Lincoln Center, and I think it's time for us to go inside.
03:00See you next time.
