00:00Last month, we saw our first Republican presidential primary debate, but despite Donald Trump being a hot topic during that
00:07showing, he didn't show up at all.
00:09In fact, the former president has already said he doesn't intend on going to any of the debates, as the
00:13public already knows who he is.
00:15But that doesn't mean Trump will just be sitting at home, and as the second GOP debate looms, he's hitting
00:20the campaign trail, according to several sources.
00:23While the rest of the candidates take the stage, the Donald will reportedly be in Detroit, giving a speech to
00:29autoworkers.
00:30This all comes during heated negotiations between car manufacturing companies and their workers.
00:35Though Trump has some confusing messaging about that whole thing, saying recently about the situation, quote,
00:41I'm on the side of making our country great.
00:43The autoworkers are being sold down the river by their leadership, and their leadership should endorse Trump.
00:48This speech appearance is a far cry from his attempted primary counter-programming during the last debate.
00:54Instead of joining his political opponents on stage, he instead sat for an interview with former Fox News host Tucker
00:59Carlson for an ex-formerly Twitter interview.
01:02It was an interview the former president claimed some 250 million people watched.
01:08However, that was a misconstrued metric.
01:10Mashable reports the interview was actually seen by only around 14.8 million viewers.
