00:00 We've been talking about it for a while and now the warmer weather is here, but it's not going to last very long.
00:05 And certainly first thing on Wednesday morning, it won't feel all that warm.
00:08 Quite cool conditions across northern Britain, temperatures well down into single figures.
00:13 Not quite so chilly across the south. Here we keep a fair bit of cloud around.
00:17 Some outbreaks of rain during Tuesday evening.
00:19 That will steadily start to push away, one or two heavy bursts possible for a time.
00:24 But as I said, fizzling out, staying very windy across the northeast with gales at times across Shetland.
00:29 Blowing in plenty of showers through the night here.
00:32 But for most, we'll see lighter winds, clear skies and a fine and sunny start to Wednesday.
00:38 Now, it's not going to be sunny everywhere.
00:39 Quite a lot of cloud pushing in quickly across Northern Ireland and West Wales.
00:43 So quite a grey day here. Might even be a little bit of drizzle here and there for West Wales, Northern Ireland
00:48 and later on into maybe southwest Scotland.
00:51 Bit murky around the coast in the southwest as well.
00:53 But for many central and eastern parts, yes, some cloud will develop through the day.
00:58 But we should see some bright weather, some hazy sunshine lifting the temperatures after that chilly start.
01:05 Back up to average or maybe even slightly above temperatures we haven't seen too often recently.
01:11 Widely into the 20s across England and Wales and 20 or 21 across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:17 Still a bit colder across the Northern Isles.
01:19 Even here, the breeze will continue to ease through Wednesday.
01:23 Most will have a fine Wednesday evening.
01:25 We'll continue to see this thicker cloud just drift its way up the west coast of Scotland.
01:31 So some light rain and drizzle is possible here.
01:33 Otherwise, most places dry as we head into Thursday.
01:36 And with the warmer air in place, it will be a much milder start Thursday morning compared to Wednesday morning,
01:43 with temperatures in some towns and cities staying in the mid teens.
01:47 So a warmer feel throughout the day on Thursday.
01:50 Quite a bit of cloud around. It's not blue skies everywhere.
01:53 Far from it might see one or two showers, particularly over the hills of southwest Scotland.
01:58 Maybe a little bit of drizzle at times, one or two showers possibly developing elsewhere.
02:02 But for most places, it's dry.
02:04 Quite a bit of sunshine and offer across the southern half of the UK and also for northern Scotland.
02:09 And where it's sunny, temperatures will get into the mid 20s.
02:13 26, 27, even 28 is possible.
02:17 The Murray Coast may get to 26 as well.
02:20 So temperatures significantly higher than they have been.
02:22 You will notice that warmer feel if you're not a fan of the warmth.
02:26 Well, there is some good news on the way because the cloud is thickening down to the southwest.
02:30 And later on, we may well see some showers pushing in here.
02:34 It's part of this cold front ahead of it.
02:36 High pressure and that warmer air moving in over the next couple of days.
02:40 But here comes the cold front and just watch as it pushes away that warmth as we go through Friday.
02:46 And by the weekend, we're back to low pressure sitting to the northwest temperatures back much closer to average,
02:52 with a mixture of sunshine and showers.
